About this house rental
Our home was completely renovated recently in summer 2022. The house has 5 bedrooms, a large open kitchen and dining space which can comfortably sit 8 or more diners, a large living room with cathedral height ceilings and an ancient brick fireplace ready for cosy nights around the fire.
The house consists of:
On the 1st floor -
1. A first double bedroom off of the living room
2. A large living room with an original wood-burning fireplace and cathedral style ceilings
3. An office with an antique "notaire" desk perfect for remote work, and a bed that can be used as a comfortable reading nook or an extra sleeping space for more guests
4. A large marble bathroom with toilet, tub, and shower
5. A kids room with a single bed and crib
6. A large bedroom with a double bed and single bed that can be used as a lounge or a sleeping space, and a desk nook
7. A bathroom with a shower, designed as an homage to the French municipal pools (the owner of the home is a big swimming enthusiast!)
8. A laundry area with washer, dryer, and toilet
On the 2nd floor -
1. A small bathroom with a toilet
2. A kids room with a single bed
3. A large parental suite with a double bed, an open style bathing area with a claw foot tub, a wood-fire fireplace for cozy nights in bed, and a desk nook for any remote working needs
Outside you will find:
A tree-filled yard of 5870 m2 completely closed in, so no need to worry about kids running off property.
The front of the yard looks onto a valley where horses graze. There are two outdoor dining tables - One directly in front of the house, and one in the grass under the shade of our large chestnut tree.
On the left of the property, you have a large yard that runs all the way up to the woods. We have cleared a foot path for you to walk up to the top of our property where you have an even better view of the valley, including the church steeple of the village across from us.
Next to the house we have our wood-fire jacuzzi. This was inspired by our honeymoon in Alaska and is a wonderful way to relax on a beautiful night under the stars.
The area includes:
Many countryside walks are accessible directly from our house.
There is also a river that is walkable from the house which is known for its trout fishing.
Our property is neighbors with an amazing poney club called Les Ponys d'Alice, where children and adults can take riding lessons or ride poneys in the forest.
There is a delicious boulangerie in our town, accessible by foot (15 mins).
