The location was great and made a brilliant base camp for everyone. We loved being able to all stay together, and the pool was a real bonus on the sunnier days. The house was well-equipped too — especially with cutlery and kitchen bits, which made group meals easy.

The house had plenty of charm and character, though it’s fair to say that a few areas felt a little tired in places. Some of the bathroom arrangements were a bit quirky, and personally I’d have liked a few more modern touches here and there — but that’s just down to taste. Overall, the property was perfectly functional and comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing break.

Spacious house and area around. Old buildings of the mill surrounded by big old trees and many beautiful flowers and roosters' songs. Playground for small kids with many toys. Fireplace to turn a rainy evening into a cosy one. Barbecue. All necessary facilities. Many nice paintings on the walls.

Initially it was damp in the house. We put on the heating in bedrooms and made fire in fireplace in the living room. So everything dryed up and it became better.

Holiday home in Dannemarie

The host was really great, she helped us out when friends were without accommodation. She can't do enough for you. The Gite was rustic, other family member had another of the gites on site which was more modern.it had everything we needed was great. You need a car the nearest towns 3km away.

An authentic French cottage in a magical village

It felt like we had stepped into a fairytale village! The cottage park is cozy and absolutely beautiful. The owners are really nice and easygoing people. We loved having our little garden for morning croissants and for our daughter to safely play outside. There’s a little pool and playground with a big trampoline and there are cute chickens wandering around. The cottage was good, it has a very comfortable large shower and a big bed. The location is about 45 minutes from Paris and Versailles and 75 minutes from Disneyland. Houdan is a 5 minute car trip away and has everything you need for groceries etc.

The only downside I could find was that there are quite a lot of spiders around the cottage, which you will find everywhere in the French countryside so I didn’t mind it.

Lovely setting in the country side, great pool, comfortable beds, clean, nice to have a barbecue, very friendly and helpful owner

The fridge is very small for a family of 4 and there are not enough regular glasses (only wine and champagne glasses) The pool was on the chilly side (the owner explained she was having problems with the heat pump and was waiting for a technician to return)

The apartment was nice and comfortable but the village is very quiet in winter and no local shops.

A big and roomy apartment with easy onsite parking.

The village does not have a nearby shop to buy basic food items. It would have been nice if this information was made more obvious and some basic items like milk for the coffee was in the refrigerator on our arrival. Also we only saw the owner on arrival even though she was living nearby. It would have been nice to discuss local issues with her during our stay if possible....otherwise all was good.

Het was eigenlijk in 1 woord perfect, we hebben genoten en we willen er zeker nog een keer heen!

Het idyllische karakter van de accomodatie, erg mooi, evenals de omgeving en andere dorpen. De zorg en aandacht van de hosts (madame Sylvia en madame Helene), de vrij rondlopende kippen en hanen voegen wat extra's toe (we missen Henri, de oude manke haan, onze huisvriend). Het zwembad is prachtig en luxe, ondanks wat kleine probleempjes na de renovatie. Voldoende restaurants in de nabije omgeving evenals alle andere praktische zaken (supermarkt, ziekenhuis etc). Dicht bij uitvalswegen; Versailles, Chartres en natuurlijk Parijs binnen (ruim) een uur te bereiken. Ik schrijf normaal gesproken geen reviews maar vond dat ik het deze keer moest doen, vooral voor de hosts, zo aardig, attent, geinteresseerd en lief! Verwacht voor deze prijzen geen goud en/of met marmer ingelegd paleis vol luxe en van alle gemakken voorzien maar prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is gewoon meer dan goed!

Eigenlijk niets maar als ik 1 ding moet noemen, dan is het dat het huisje niet brandschoon was bij onze aankomst. Maar daar kan ik de vorige gasten op aankijken want wijzelf doen toch altijd een minimale schoonmaak (bezem erdoor heen, badkamer, toilet, keuken, vaat etc) voor wij vertrekken, waar we ook verblijven en of dat nu inclusief of exclusief is. Ik vermoed dat een gebrek aan personeel mede de oorzaak is dus dat de 2 dames alles zelf moeten doen (en ze zijn al op leeftijd, sorry mesdames Sylvie en Helene) terwijl ze al zoveel doen op het terrein, in de tuinen bijvoorbeeld en de zorg voor de dieren.

Un endroit idéal pour se réunir en famille : adultes et enfants ont beaucoup apprécié leur séjour.

En arrivant, nous avons été accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse par notre hôte et nous avons été charmés par la beauté du lieu : le jardin et le moulin sont magnifiques, tout autant que les cottages, restaurés avec soin. Chaque gîte est meublé avec goût et personnalité. La literie est sans reproche, les salles de bain agréables et tout était très propre. Nous avons été conquis !

Vlotte communicatie vooraf, vlotte communicatie bij aankomst. Super vriendelijke service. Voor herhaling vatbaar. Sylvie en Hélène zijn een super team. De ligging: niet al te ver van Versailles en Parijs en middenin de natuur.

Un cottage à la campagne

Très bel environnement à la campagne. Le moulin grouille d’animaux (moutons, poules, cygnes) qui raviront les enfants. Les cottages sont grands, les lits confortables, et vous avez une belle cheminée pour les journées pluvieuses. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Certaines pièces méritent un coup de peinture.
