Very nice indoor/outdoor living. Enjoyed having the bikes. Would highly recommend. The only suggestion is removing or cutting back the cactus on the front patio. Very dangerous and a few of us got stuck by it.

Great time. A few details to work on: the hot water in the upstairs shower is too hot and is difficult to adjust. Also had asked about fans but several are broken. Love the kitchen. We stayed for a week at the house and had a wonderful time. The house is perfectly located with views to the beach from both patios. We rented bikes and cruised up and down the strand and to some great restaurants. Having access to the garage is nice, as parking can be a little challenging. We did a lot of cooking and would have liked better cookware, but most of it seems very dated, old, and worn. There were only three wine glasses and a few water glasses for a party of 13. I had to go to TJ Maxx to buy glasses and candles to add to the ambiance. One of the guest rooms doesn't have a clauset, which could be easily fixed with a "nice" close rack. In general a few general updates would be nice.

Our family had a wonderful vacation and this house worked perfectly for the 9 of us. The location was great, about a block and a half from the beach. Luckily the garage fit two of our cars, because finding parking for the other two was difficult. We would consider renting this property again.

Everything was exactly as described, plenty of room for all 10 of us. The master bedroom pictures don't do it justice so much room in there. The fans in all the bedrooms really helped in the heat of summer. Would definitely rent again.

We have stayed at several properties in Newport Beach and this had mostly all good things. The kitchen was very updated and beautiful. The living space was excellent for gathering around and each of the rooms were far enough away that you didn’t feel cramped. The garage was big enough for 2 smaller cars and they had a ton of beach supplies and the front of the house had a nice deck! All in all I was very happy and would rent from this home again. The few bad things was it was party central on Friday and Saturday night and several of the homes near us there was screaming , heavy drinking , cars revving and none of the grand kids could sleep so that was miserable. I also think for me air conditioner is a must. When you come from the desert and the humidity is 0 and you go to the beach where it was 85% you need something that can cool down the house and get rid of some of that sticky moisture . I thought all in all this home was a B+

We enjoyed the location of this house, as there were restaurants, coffee shops, & fast food within walking distance, however the neighborhood was still very quiet and within walking distance from the beach. We were actually able to fit two small SUVs in the garage too. Additionally it was nice to have bikes to use on the property and we enjoyed the balconies on all 3 floors, especially the first floor with the folding doors.

The location was great—between the bay and the beach. You do have to cross Balboa Blvd to get to the beach. There is a bay side park near the house with a jungle gym, swings, and a sand access to the bay. With 5 bedrooms we had great sleeping accommodations. The master suite was sweet and roomy!! The shower had double rain heads and triple body sprayers, and a hand held sprayer. Kitchen appliances where a serious up grade—large gas stove for skilled chefs. Down side for some was that there is no A/C. The upstairs bed rooms got a little warm but the windows helped with that and there were rotating large floor fans too—once we got the hang of things the bedrooms cooled off enough to sleep comfortably. The 4 cruiser bikes were in great shape and a lot of fun. One of the bikes was a little smaller for older kids or adults under 5’3”. The beach chairs and sand toys were great but the boogie boards were smaller styrofoam ones and all were cracked in the middle—you might want to bring your own. We fit a compact car and a mini van in the garage…that was awesome! The owners are easy to communicate with and very helpful. The internet was good enough for two of us to do our jobs remotely. I’d definitely recommend this home.

Everything was as represented in the listing. Short walk to the beach. Very nice property. Parking is problematic, we had 3 cars and did some shuffling between the garage and the street. The house came with 4 great bikes which we took full advantage of. Easy communication with the owner.

Our family came together to celebrate a wedding in the family and needed 5 bedrooms. Sheila's property delivered! The kitchen and family area were beautiful, modern, spacious and allowed us to cook to our hearts desire. We love cooking, eating and chatting and this was a great property for this and enjoying the outdoors while inside with it's fabulous front folding french doors. Everything was cleaned and well stocked with dishes and needed utensils. We did find the top back bedroom to be very hot and would bring an extra fan next time. Parking, as with any place in California can be tough but we really appreciated the two car garage and the wonderful bikes available to us to use! We could not have had a better time! We loved our stay at this vacation rental. Having the bikes was a must for us. We rented a van which didn’t fit in the garage so we parked the van and used the bikes to get around. The property is nice and clean and housed 11 of us comfortably. My family used to spend our summers growing up in Newport. It was during this particular stay I received the news of my mom’s passing. I’ll forever be grateful for my surroundings and the memories this place brought back to me at this time.

Great home and great location in a quiet neighborhood. Beds were comfy and we used every bedroom we even came with infant in tow! The house was clean and had beach towels, sand toys and boogie boards! Also a great addition was the 4 beach cruisers. We had brought the children's bikes too and they rode down to Milk and Cookies while I shuttled the baby! Despite lost keys on check out day plus a few other hiccups, our host Sheila was ever so gracious to us and for that I was grateful. All in all, a successful Spring break for the kiddos! Giving this 4/5 stars there is the need of general maintenance, there was a handful of burned out light bulbs . The house was overall clean the couch has several stains and could use a cleaning and the same with the cloth kitchen seating (which was to be expected). The shower grout/caulking was mostly black with mold in all showers and in the master there are dual showers however one is broken and you can’t even turn it on and the other has bad water pressure so we only ended up using the handheld sprayer which wasn’t ideal. There was also a leak in the master bathroom on the side of the wall when the water shoots out of the sprayer when placed on the holder which is to the left of the dual sinks but it appears it’s been like that for a while now because the baseboard had a lot of water damage and had been painted over to not show the mold. There wasn’t an umbrella on the front patio as shown in photos and when I asked I was told because of COVID they were not able to get one which I asked for about 2 weeks prior to our stay however we still enjoyed the patio but it would have been better with an umbrella for some sort of shade so we could sit out there without sunglasses/hats ect . The positives of the house were the kitchen was great and fully stocked with what we needed for cooking and it was nice to have decent cooking pans in a rental home and the large fridge was a plus. The space was nice and it was nice to have plenty of towels, a washer and dryer, the beach items and the bikes for us to use. The beach was a 4-5 minute walk to the beach with kids so it was plenty close for us going back and forward as needed. It was also nice that they checked in half way during our trip to see if there was anything we needed. As noted in another review the owner does make it well known there is cameras on the property which I fully understand the reasoning but it did also make me feel somewhat uncomfortable when booking but there wasn’t an issue I just feel that the message was a little aggressive about the use of outdoor cameras. Overall though we did enjoy our stay.

We just returned from staying at this beautiful home, and wanted to say thank you! We had a wonderful get away as a family. The house was even better than we expected! Very clean, and you can tell the owners take great pride in it. We are a local family that wanted to get away to the beach before school started, a little escape from Covid too, in the fresh beach air. We were at the beach every day, and the house is very convenient, one block to the water, and so if we forgot anything, wanted a snack, or needed a break from the sun we could easily walk back and forth. We also loved the beach cruisers that came with the house -- we were able to ride bikes to get breakfast in the morning, boba in the afternoon, kids rode down to have dinner at the pier, and we had a family bike ride down to Balboa Pier for Rubys milkshakes (bikes come with locks too!). The house was very clean too, and well supplied. There were fans in each room too, and plenty of storage. A BIG thing for us as renters is making sure the beds and pillows are comfortable--we want good rest on our vacation, and the beds and mattresses were awesome! We also had enough room in the house to sprawl out a little, teenagers could escape to the upstairs large room where there is a second TV and a little kitchenette, while the grown ups were downstairs reading. My husband and I drank our coffee on the roof together each morning and enjoyed the quiet and the morning sunshine and beach view. We rode bikes and skateboards to Lido, enjoyed Bear Flag restaurant and looking at boats, kids would walk back and forth with boogie boards. (The main street, Peninsula Blvd, is a busy street though, so if you have young kids you will want an adult to help with crossing.) It was also very convenient being able to use and park in the garage, since street parking can be difficult to find in Newport during the summer. Both our teenagers had soccer practices and baseball practices they would come and go, so it was nice to have the garage so we didn't lose our spots. We really loved our time and hope we can return again!

They say location is everything and this beautiful beach property was perfectly situated one block from the beach and steps from the bay. And while you may be captivated by the photos on their listing, the place is even more stunning in person. We are a family of 4, but also brought Grandma and a favorite Aunt - and there was more than enough room for all of us. One of the most important details for us when traveling and staying in another home, is comfortable beds - and each of the rooms in this lovely home was wonderful - even the pillows :) If you enjoy cooking, you will LOVE their appliances (Thermadour stove/oven, KitchenAid dishwasher), the living room and the floor-to-ceiling doors are everything - and you can see both the beach and bay while you're enjoying coffee from the patio. The street is quiet, yet very close to the boardwalk, which is a huge plus when you have teens that spend all their time out in the water. Surfing was just a few blocks up, and having 4 bikes for all of us to ride around in was a huge plus. There is a grocery store / strip mall just a few blocks away as well. We had a very easy check in / check out process and the owners are very prompt when answering any questions we had. We wish we had more time during this visit and can't wait to go back!!
