2 very small negatives: an out of date carton of milk was waiting for us on the coffee table; there was no warning on Booking.com about the very steep walk up to the chalet from the car park, although the owners' own website does point this out very clearly.

Location and amenities

I had a problem ( of my own making) that I inadvertently booked for two people and I should have booked six people..,.. I was stressed about this,,,. And I could not get through on any of the contact details and speak to a person to alter it… eventually I went via Booking .com helpline and spoke to a person and it was resolved, but it would have been better if it had been resolved earlier. Otherwise the stay was lovely, thank you x

It’s a really beautiful lodge, with very comfy beds and living area. Really impressed!

Everything was brilliant! However, I did open front door and the only key fell out of the lock and down through wide gap and landed under the chalet. Took ages to get it back - would recommend an outdoor mat to cover the gaps in decking perhaps? I couldn’t get hold of anyone to help and there wasn’t a folder with contact numbers as advised. I also needed to wash a lot of the crockery and glasses before using them as didn’t look or feel clean. Otherwise, all wonderful!
