Location was central, and the host was friendly!

The guest house is very dated and needs a good clean and overall new decoration! The room had a smell of foist and damp. The bed made such a noice even when you just sat on it. Never had such a short window space 8am till 8.30am anywhere before but could have given the breakfast a miss as it was cold and undercooked anyway!

Not really for us but it was cheap

Owner was great, a good welcome and not a bad breakfast. Location was great, 10 minute walk to harbour and beach.

Shower was really dirty and the heater kept stopping. The flexible pipes was grey and full of calcium from the water. The sink was in the room, not bathroom as there wasn't room for it. Headboard was low so you couldn't sit up in bed. Tv was mounted on the wall and still had stand attached.

A welcoming stay with fantastic hosts, great breakfast and thoughtful family friendly touches.

The breakfast was lovely, fresh and filling. The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating, which made us feel really comfortable throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

It wasn’t a big issue, but my husband found the double bed a little uncomfortable. I chose to sleep in the single bed to be closer to our baby, and being 34 weeks pregnant in the midst of summer, I was too hot to share anyway, so it didn’t affect me personally.

Reasonable accomodation for a short stay, close to amenities and south beach.

Rooms were adequate, location was good for south beach, harbour and main centre but quiet enough at night-time. Beds were comfy, hand soap and toilet rolls provided, towels clean, cooked breakfast was amazing. Thank you.

1 bedroom was a little unclean and the kettle was filthy. Website said toiletries provided but there was no shower gel or shampoo. Does this need amending? A lovely cooked breakfast but some cereals or fruit would have been nice. Although we are dog lovers we prefer 'dog-free' rooms ourselves and there were 4 or 5 dogs staying so it was a little noisy at night-time and a bit chaotic at breakfast.

breakfast was good, location was perfect

cleaning could have been a lot better in room 5, there was no flat screen tv or any toiletries bar also is no longer open which they don’t tell you, tv was to high in room 9 alongside mouldy net curtain was also ripped holded up with string tv remote didn’t work, in room 5 the mattress was absolutely filthy looked like wee stains all over it, marks on the carpet that looks like blood or rust stains, blood spots on pillows, dirty lampshade and mouldy handles on the draws, hole in the wall where the wallpaper was coming off down the side of the bed all together the whole place could do with redecorating banister paint was coming off, nobody on reception if needed. women who lives there is rude, ignored us when we was trying to complain about the filth in room 5 even tho we could hear her coughing in the room. food and hygiene rating was out of date since 2013. rating of hotel out of date since 2018. dead spider on the wall when we got there which shows it wasn’t cleaned. we also had to swap the dirty mattress into room 7 our self no offer to help. bath towels had stains on them.

Nothing like the photos on there page it looks run down from outside and inside is even worse. The room we stayed in was very dusty and the bathroom was dirty mould and rust all the way round the shower doors and the shower it’s self, the bathroom floor behind the door I could write my name in in the dust, around the toilet and sink it was black and dusty. luckily I had taken my own towels as the one in the room were stain and one was even thread bare. Wish I had seen the reviews that said how bad it was before I booked

Lovely and close to the promenade. Fantastic stay one floor to ourselves. Lovely breakfast in the morning and the hosts were spot on nothing to much trouble we will be returning 😀

Just a little tired and outdated mattresses a bit uncomfortable on a couple of the beds but didn't spoil our stay. Bathroom in the family suite a bit old and in need of an update maybe.

Overall, for a budget stay of 6 nights this was good value for an out of season seaside stay.

Lovely breakfast and a promptly cooked to order service. Friendly welcome and interactions with owners of the Guest House.

Room smelt a bit musty when I first arrived so I needed to air it with the window wide open for an hour or so. Unable to open bathroom window as had 'Do not open' notice attached. I did mean to query this but didn't get round to doing so. A couple of the drawers, re: inside, were a bit dusty so I had to sort this.
