Tranquil and friendly but came away dissapointed.

Friendly staff. Tranquil location. Lounge with fire. Reasonable size room. Comfotable bedding. Good coffee. Reasonably fast wifi (there is no mibile signal). Nice Fondue

Room bit tatty. Shower old and some bathroom fittings loose. The shaving mirror. was hanging off. Bed too small even though a larger bed would fit. Wifi intermittent and there is no mobile signal here. Breakfast OK but E9 might be bit too high. Precooked hard boiled eggs rather grey around the yokes. Better to have fresh eggs and let guests cook their own. Restaurant lack choice and basic. No steak available so we had the burger which was OK but came with potato balls from the freezer and cold asparagus from a jar. Stayed 2 nights and in both cases there was only one other guest so I understand it´s difficult to cater for all possibilities. No drinkable water in the rooms (big sign saying non potable). We were happily given some bottles but in this case it should be left in the room to start off with. We really wanted to be positive given the good reviews but in the end there were too many negatives. Hopefully things would be better in high season as the location and friendly service were just right for us and it would be nice to return. The only reason I go into such detail here is that I would otherwise be so happy to go back.

Easy, simple and great location.

Great, central location in the hills of Alsace - off the beaten path and quiet. Big room, nice, quiet stay.

The breakfast was really not up to par - maybe it was because of Coronavirus. Other than that, everything was fine.

Basic but enough of what you need.

The pros: The hotel is vary basic but has everything you need. It was a 5 minute drive from La Bresse-Hohneck and it was near another ski resort where we mainly saw cross-country skiers. The weekend was a low-snow weekend with limited slopes open so we couldn't judge the ski-in-ski-out part. The hotel was near a forest with a walking trail and a lake. It was lovely to walk in nature. The room was spacious and clean. There was free parking on the premises. The hosts were friendly and we would return. Even though it wasn't the most comfortable of beds, it's fine for a weekend at that price, which was €45 per night then. We did have a TV, although some reviews stated there was none. We had one and it had all the usual French channels, which was perfect for us.

The cons: The heat would turn off in the middle of the night, so the room would get a little cool. Then it would turn on again around 8 or so. I didn't mind so much that it got turned off, but it would have been better to have been turned on around 6am, so you don't wake up to a cold room. The bed was not very comfortable, but OK and on the small side. However, the price reflects this, so you get what you pay for. The wifi was also only on during certain hours and I don't understand why. In 2020, every hotel should have 24 wifi available, regardless of the price. Aside from these things, it is still fine for a weekend or so. We would return since in the end, we spent the entire day at the slopes and basically just slept there. So yes, I would recommend it if you just need a place near the slopes with no frills.

Un week end en amoureux idéal en ces lieux

Le cadre du domaine est top quand on a besoin de se ressourcer . L acceuil des responsables qui sont aux petits soins laisse une note positive .

Peut être juste la piece des toilettes un peu petit . Mais rien de bien grave .

Es war alles etwas abgenutzt, komischer empfangsbereich mit klingel und kleinem Verschlag, man fühlte sich nicht so willkommen, das essen war nicht gut und wurde in einem korb vor die zimmertüre gestellt - es gab keinen gastraum wo man die Mahlzeiten einnehmen könnte

cadre splendide, personnel accueillant

Cadre splendide à 2 pas du lac de Lispach, un lieu qui apporte un peu de fraîcheur en cette canicule. la vue de la chambre est superbe sur la forêt, on a même pu observer des chevreuils au pied de la fenêtre. Le personnel est très gentil et accueillant on se sent vraiment chez nous. la literie est de très bonne qualité, avec le calme du lieu c'est l'occasion de se reposer. très bonne expérience.

Un havre de paix et un accueil chaleureux !

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le calme et l'environnement alentour qui est un véritable havre de paix au milieu de la nature. Le couple de propriétaire est très accueillant, fort sympathique et vraiment à l'écoute.

Un endroit authentique et atypique, calme , très propre, très bien équipé, bonne literie et services au top . Nous avons ADORÉ le repas et petit déjeuner servis en chambre .C était excellent et copieux .Une vue magnifique, d autres services sont proposés, comme massages, sauna , panier pic nic , sandwich..on serait bien restés pour essayer tout ça , on garderait bien cette belle decouverte en secret, mais elle mérite d être partagée alors on recommande vivement 😊 Karine et Jean-Yves

Calme et nature

Domaine dans un coin très calme au milieu de la nature. On entend les bruits de la forêt donc très reposant. Les équipements sont nombreux et en bon s état. Tout fonctionne et le lot est très confortable. Accueil très soigné. Et accepte les chèques vacances papiers ;) Je recommande.

Comfortabel verblijf met leuke eigenaar

De kamer was comfortabel en je kunt heerlijk in de tuin zitten. Wij zijn met name zeer te spreken over de eigenaar! Hij was ontzettend gastvrij en behulpzaam, en sprak goed Engels. Dit verblijf kan ik absoluut aanraden.

Petit-déjeuner à la carte et anti-gaspillage. Dans sa chambre. Au calme. Décor champêtre et douillet. Vue sur les forêts de sapins. Accueil même tardif, de dernière minute. Petits plats goûteux. Plein de détails: cafetière - petit frigo - panier repas en chambre - sèche-cheveux - mouchoirs ect...pour des attentions.

Il y a encore quelques coins à rénover( escalier) mais cela ne nuit pas au charme des lieux.

Une seule nuit, c'est court pour apprécier un endroit si sympa...

Le patron très sympathique propose un accueil chaleureux et il est très à l'écoute, service en chambre super agréable. L'emplacement au cœur du massif des Vosges, à quelques centaines de mètres d'un ruisseau, de chemin de randonnée et de piste de ski de fond, la vue depuis la chambre !!!

3jours isolé au cœur des Vosges

Hôte très sympa, convivial et nourriture très correct , lieu incroyablement calme et isolé avec sentiers et belles routes a proximité
