Happy stay at Lake Longemer
The hotel is in Longemer. A small holiday spot across the road from lake Longemer. The lake has very peaceful environments with services i.e. an icecream bar, paddle boats for hire in a small scale so it is ideal for resting and exploring. However, even though the lake is so inviting for strolling around that is not possible, There are no walking tracks around the lake even though hiking tracks to higher spots and other places are to be found. We were staying in a room for three adults. The big room was divided into two rooms by a door to give some privacy to each room which is very good. One needs to drive to Gerardmer for supplies, food items or restaurants. This hotel and two others nearby did not provide a restaurant services. Breakfast at the restaurant was plenty and served in a beautiful dining room. Madame Natalie was happy to find what her clients asked for.
With a little more effort the management team could make this hotel perfect. At the time we were staying the toilet seat could not properly stay in its place, it slipped out sideway even though one tried to balance oneself while sitting on it. We were given damp towels and our request for changing faced unwelcoming explanation even though the new towels less damp were given. If you are sensitive to creacked floor this room for three might not be suitable for you. The road in front of the hotel has fast traffic. It needs some other measures to slow down the drivers coming down the hill and those coming round the corner to climb up the hill. At present everyone needs to look again and again and cross the road very quickly at the crossing.

location and building. decoration were really nice.
staff, they force me to pay for my daughters’ breakfast as for an adult because she was tall. it doesn’t matter that it was said that children under 12 are paying half. it was unpleasant and she felt really bad to here this. in general the building was not clean, in our bathroom was other door which were opened and were leading to unknown but were full of spider webs, and there was ongoing smell of cigarettes in all property, you can spot the spider webs all over the place. breakfast was really poor and serve on not clean dishes, especially tea pots and coffee.

Very good
Authentic stay in a nice mountain-like chalet. Very good and calm location if you want to stay close to the lake during summer. Small and comfy room with everything you need. Very carring hostess and tasty breakfast. Staff did not speak English, but it was not a problem for us. We enjoyed practicing our french.
Everything was good. During covid, not many places to eat around.

Superb
Great cute little hotel. The owner was very nice and helpful. We stayed there to ski at La Bresse, which was less than 10 minutes by car. Everything was great!
It would have been nice to have a bit more choice at breakfast.
