Fauno Urban Resort

The location is great. Very close to some major sites and public transportation, but in a quiet area. The staff were fantastic, both in our interactions and in accommodating us. We arrived far too early for check-in after disembarking from our cruiseship. They stored our luggage, provided towels for us to use at the pool, and got us into our room much earlier than expected. Our room was quite large, comfortable and very clean. We especially loved the oversized shower with two shower heads. The little kitchenette was convenient for leftovers and having cold drinks, but it was missing silverware. We had to go to the reception area to get some, which was no big deal. The outside areas could use some TLC to really elevate it esthetically and practically. The loungers around the pool are placed on a grassy area that was sparse in some areas. The ground was very wet, which made these spots muddy. Installing simple walkway pavers around the perimeter would be a huge improvement. To make the pool area even more pleasant and inviting, a few minutes in the early morning spent sweeping up all the dead leaves around the pool and on the loungers (there were a lot), and wiping down the side tables would make a huge visual improvement with very little effort. Some areas of cobblestone were raised, dislodged or missing, making it dangerous to walk, especially in the dark. I almost took a tumble. I would also suggest having insect repellant available. We were eaten alive by the daytime-loving tiger mosquitoes while lounging at the pool. If the heat didn't persuade us to get into the water, these voracious biters certainly did! Minor 'complaints' aside, we had a lovely stay and highly recommend this location to others.

This place was such a nice little spot away from the noise of the city but walking distance to everything.

The room layout and property design were highlights, and the location was extremely convenient. The bathroom and shower had quite a bit of dark mold and mildew, but otherwise the room was clean and relatively well maintained. I would consider staying again, but for the price I expected a slightly higher level of upkeep.

Stayed here thankfully only for 1 night. We were looking forward to our stay as had been to this hotel 3 times previously. But do not ever intend on returning . Room was moldy, shower on first use was blocked and flooded whole room. Aircon was not working in the middle of a red alert heat warning in the room. Staff were extremely unhelpful and blamed our room choose or basic room option for the sub par service. Avoid at all costs
