The online check in was ok. We had a 2 separate questions at different times and there was no one at the desk. Had to ring bell several times.

I like the simple booking process, however from the minute I walk through the door you can hear and see the chaos of the operation. A self check in system that doesn’t work, having to write down ethnicity as a first question shows their priorities. From being harassed by a man who appears to be management, but denies any responsibility. For example the first stay I was harassed for parking my hybrid electric in an electric specific parking spot, by the manager. With an empty parking lot.. but the second stay he has special allowance for large trucks to park there because of their precious cargo, which I did not ask. He “manager” then goes to breach their privacy by telling me the room number they’re staying in. Many items in my “suite” malfunctioning, leaking, stained. They really push to not clean your room, but offer a hand scribbled $10 rip off voucher in exchange. Complete corner cutting, unprofessional mess. As a business owner, best western should consider pulling the licensing. Or risk lawsuits, further action to ensure this will be made.

The restaurant was inundated with 2 bus loads of tourists who ignored hotel instructions and descended for breakfast at the same time. This overwhelmed staff and made it difficult for regular guests. We had to wait until the buses departed and the buffet was replenished to have breakfast.

The rooms were okay, clean and spacious. The restaurant was okay and staff too. The airconditioning did not cool the room well enough for sleeping to be comfortable. We reported this to the staff and they sent somebody but it did not help.

I arrived at 1:00 AM with my family, and the back door was locked. I called reception, but the staff member an Indian guy said he didn’t have the keys and couldn’t open it. We were left walking outside at night with our family , feeling unsafe, especially with people yelling nearby. When we finally entered, I noticed a woman leaving the hotel who had been chatting with the receptionist, which made me wonder if that was why he ignored our request. This situation was unprofessional and made us feel unsafe. I hope the hotel seriously improves its late-night guest service and security.

The location was off the beaten path but that was a plus for me. The hotel and room itself were fine. The staff was unprofessional and rude. Breakfast was not included and most of the time the breakfast area was flooded with bus loads of tourist and even though I paid 16 euros for breakfast I couldn’t reach the breakfast trays. One morning , the staff couldn’t even be bothered to put breakfast out. My room was rarely cleaned even if I put the sign out. And there was a weird smell coming from the shower/tub room. I had to buy air freshener to hide the smell. Also, I should have read the small print, my booking was non-refundable. So, even though I left a week early I couldn’t get my money back. So, overall one of the worst stays I’ve had in Amsterdam. I won’t be going back to a Best Western anytime soon.

Stayed at this hotel many times as its location is convenient. Staff are friendly, Restaurant is currently not operating other than for breakfast which suits me fine. Rooms are a good size with most things you need, they have irons and ironing boards if you ask.

The hotels is located in an industrial zone of the city. Few hundred meters walking to a tram stop which leads to Amsterdam South station where you can switch to trains and the Amsterdam metro system. It was not possible to switch off the shower after use, which is a bit annoying as the water keeps running and running. The shower tap was broken. (See pictures) Only the tech department can help you there. The check out is at noon, but the cleaning maid is already knocking the door at 11:30 telling you to hurry up. Never experienced something like that. Selected the hotel for the noon check out, so we could chill out, but then this maid comes around. Not okay at all, the maid also made rude remarks as we mentioned check out is at noon so don't bother us. The price is good compared to all hotels around Amstelveen.

Located in a commercial area so not scenic but convenient for my stay in Amstelveen. Close to shops and easy access to transport. Friendly front desk staff who accommodated my early check in and late check out.

Some pf the stagg extremely rude, 1 woman in particular who checked us out had a terroble attitide. The room was dusty, the maids entered at 930am both morning's despite having the do not disturb sign on. They always offered fresh towels though and the lobby area was nice

The hotel is lovely with ample space in the room. We did not prepay for breakfast, but opted in as needed for 15 €. (There are no dining options near the hotel.) Downside is access to Amsterdam… there is public transport via bus and tram about 450 m away, but transit is slow. Will take about 45-60 min to visit main sights.
