The hosts were brilliant and helped me keep my motorbike safe. Easy booking, lovely welcome, catered for every need, a great nights sleep and a pucker English breakfast. Tip top! Thank you!

The property is in a great location, however it needs to be updated. Our room was in a poor condition. The bath panel held on with sellotape and full of mould. The bathroom window is not frosted although there was a net curtain. There was also net curtains to the main window, also one of the windows could not be opened. Outdated electrics. The property is old fashioned, however the breakfast was great.

This is a hotel and I was very impressed. I stayed in a guest house last year and The Royal was far superior to that place and much cheaper.

my stay at the hotel was mixed. breakfast was 5star. everything you needed was available and delicious. my room was comfortable but had no shower, it was down the corridor. there was a horrible smell out of the wash basin and the toilet didn’t flush a lit of the time

Nice enough hotel, old fashioned but comfortable, clean and good value for money. Great location near seafront. Breakfast was a little disappointing - slow service (30 mins to serve meal) and very varied quality - some lovely bits but one of our sausages was horrid and gristly, and a piece of bacon that had clearly been sat in oil for ages. I think they were just overstretched - they said as much - but still a little disappointing. On a quieter day I'm sure it would have been very good. Wouldn't be my first choice to return but nice enough.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel the breakfast and service was excellent, room had everything lovely and clean . The only down side was I had difficulty parking so I parked car popped inside the hotel to find if there was any room for my car , unfortunately when I came out side I had been given a parking ticket but hey ho I should have kept driving round for a couple of hours until I got a parking space 😂😂
