Dated and Disappointing

Location

Light bulbs not working in bedroom or private bathroom. Hot water takes over 2 minutes to come through which means wasting a lot of water. Power sockets in bedroom weren't connected properly so kettle kept turning off. Window blinds were extremely difficult to drop at night. Hotel staff never around when you need them. Ringing the bell at reception gets no response. Went to breakfast at 08:13 and dining room was closed and nobody around. Lots of scraps of A4 paper pinned everywhere giving information which looked very amateurish. Overall very disappointed considering the high price. Everything was dated and felt like something out of the 70's.

Breakfast was great the owner was very nice the beds was really comfy had 3good nights sleep the room was OK but if we stay longer another time would like to go into the main hotel if possible if not same room would be OK thank you 😊 Forgot to mention the layout at breakfast was lovely everything you wanted was there fruit yummy 😋 thanks 😊

We couldn't get the sub titles off tele the owner sorry can't remember his name 😔 came did it but they came.bk and we didn't have any hot water was told to run it until hot but with water shortage on didn't like to we managed for couple of.days with boiling kettle but if stayed longer would have had to do something about.it

Excellent Stay

The warm welcome and efficient check-in despite it being a one night last minute stay. The location. The cleanliness. Excellent information folder and paperwork/cards. The extra room facilities e.g. teapot and tea towel in addition to refreshment choice. Nice white clean bedding. Ample storage if going for a week. Two hand towels which we like as a lot of accommodation now only put one out. Good toiletries and clean bathroom. Good breakfast choice and pleasant staff. Nice quiltwork on communal walls.

Would have liked a full seaview. That was our fault with rushing to do a last minute booking on the spur of the moment. Thought it was beachfront but it was situated on the street just round the corner however we did have a restricted view (Room 4) so we were pleased.

There was a few things about it like I found coffee out of date with the year 24 on it it was mould on some of the food I ate which I told the owner about and I didn’t sleep very well due to the un comfy mattress but I would come again

Night in brid

The location is close to the seafront

We paid £186 for a room for the night which is a lot for Brid. The room was dated, the ceiling had partly collapsed from a leak. The sofa was broken. No soap in the dispensers or hand soap. The floor had broken floorboards under the carpet. Cleaning spray and cloth left out in the bathroom. Shopping trolleys outside of the bedroom window. I think the hotel has better rooms looking at photos and reviews, many are positive. So this is probably not the normal experience. Please ask to see you room before parting with your cash. We didn't stay for breakfast as we wanted to get home and use our own facilities. We did look in the dinning room and it looked quite nice.

Pretty basic, not a very welcoming host. Disappointed as it certainly wasn't 4 star accommodation

It was clean and the beds were quite comfy. It was a convenient location for our purposes. It had free parking.

When we arrived there was a lady outside who had been waiting for over 10 minutes trying to get in. She managed to ring the hotel and get someone to let us in. The booking had breakfast included, but we had to leave 1/2 an hour before the breakfast serving time. When we mentioned this on arrival, we weren't even offered the option of some cereal or toast and coffee. My colleague tried to have a bath before retiring to bed, but the water coming out of the taps was very discoloured, so she had to forego her bath. The soap dispenser over the sink was empty there were no separate soap/shampoo/conditioners on offer. There were only two ordinary teabags in the room and three milk cartons.

we were absolutely frozen had a room outside of the main hotel the radiators didn’t work there was a little electric heater but we ended up sleeping in our coats we had to leave at 7am for work - breakfast wasn’t served until from 8ish which was way too late stayed in better places for less money no clear place to leave keys when checking out early

The beds were comfortable and the room was warm. Nice view of the sea from the window. Good choice of breakfast options.

One of the rooms that was booked had a leaking toilet which is no one’s fault but when we approached the manager he was very rude. He didn’t apologise for the inconvenience as my mother in law was unable to go to the toilet through the night due to it leaking all over the bathroom floor. He was abrupt in saying it was nothing to do with him and was more interested in the video we had of the leak not been posted on line. The location was not where I expected and was quite out of the way from where I thought it was.
