We had a wonderful stay at this tranquil yet central original villa. Staff were very friendly, forthcoming and accomodating. Breakfast was great too. I highly recommend Sarin Suites.

The location of this property is fantastic, directly opposite the Monkey Forest, it has lots of shops and resturants around it. The outdoor area is very tranquil, with lush gradens and lovely pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, I have to agree with other reviews the bathroom is very tired, the sink and toilet had stains in them, the shower is over the bath with no where to hang the shower head higher up so you have to wash your hair sat down in the bath. The bedding and linen had marks and stains on them. The bug net over the bed didn't close, therefore being pointless, I ended up using hair grips to seal it over night but there were holes in the net so we still got bitten. We had a lizzard living under our fridge and the room upstairs leaked water over our bed, making it soaking wet, the staff mopped the ceiling and changed the bedding but said they had spilled water and it had gone through tiles???

Totally overpriced for the dirty and smelly hotel room. The floor of the room was dusty covered with dead insects. I needed the hotel staff to clean the floor. The inside the hotel is gloomy and spooky. We could not stand it and decided to use another hotel.

Great staff. Very accommodating. Laundry service, scooter rental, massage, day trips... whatever you want, they’ll happily arrange it for you. Directly across from the Monkey Forest. Sometimes the Monkeys even come over and climb in the trees around the property.

The best hotel I’ve ever been! This is a highly undervalued hotel and with it being literally across the street from the best monkey forest in all of Bali you can’t go wrong. Monkeys were on hotel property our first day and the outdoor bathroom was strangely awesome to enjoy the view while showering!

This hotel is really a hidden gem! Right outside of the monkey forest and a real paradise in the middle of a busy street. We loved the experience of the outside toilet and shower. Magical to shower with an amazing view of nature. The staff was wonderful, super sweet and helpful. Would really recommend this hotel!

Very good, reasonably priced place to stay in central Ubud. Personally I found the bed very uncomfortable, and my room was right by the stairwell so I could hear people at all hours of the night coming to their rooms / leaving. But for the price, a very good accommodation for travellers / solo travellers :) Right across from the monkey forest so there are monkeys on the property at certain times of the day- i avoided the pool area for this reason (one swiped my sunscreen from me lol). But very walkable & close to many tasty restaurants / bars.

It’s a fantastic accommodation in the heart of Ubud and located right across the entrance of Monkey Forest. Sunset view in the room is beautiful. Only one thing which is the toilet drainage system as water tends to overflood and leads to the room after showering

This property was so beautiful. Feels like you’re one with nature, can make it a little hard to sleep but it’s a very cool experience. Super quiet and peaceful. Perfect location

We stayed two nights in the family room. The bed sheets were dirty with blood stains and other unknown stains, the floor was dirty, there were cobwebs everywhere and the bathroom shower had mould all around it. The staff were nice and the property grounds are nice and convenient location but we wouldn’t sacrifice cleanliness for that to stay again.

There was a big chinese family staying. They cooked chinese food in the hotel so the entire property smelled like it. I could smell it as I was trying to sleep and I got a headache from the smell. The chinese girl was crying her guts out right above my room in the lobby so after taking for like 30 min I let her father know I was not happy. Theres no sound proof do you can hear every step someone makes right above your room. Disturbingly creaky noises. Bathroom shower head holder was broken so you had to hold the shower head to shower. The bathtub tap is broken as well. Amenity bottles were moldy and it seemed not that hard to clean. The bedding was a bit smelly. You can hear the traffic in the room. Power outlets at akward places in the room. And not enough of them.

Quite old place, not exactly what I expected. Bathroom very outdated. The stuff was nice. They agree to change our room because of burning grass on the estate next to it (the room smelled of smoke). We was given the room upstairs. Very nice view. But there was earthquake that night and we felt really scary (the house was wooden and the bed itself was like shaking without any reason with any small movement). So it wasn't good night to sleep. WIFI was super fast (probably thanks to Hubud next door) - apron 35 Mb/s ... in Bali ! Wow.

I had a great stay at the Sarin Ubud Hotel. It’s right across the street from the monkey forest and very close to the local shops. I had no problem getting airport service arranged through them to get me from Depensar to Ubud. I didn’t have breakfast there, but it is offered. The sheets smelled and looked clean and overall I would recommend the hotel. One thing to note is that there wasn’t a blow dryer in the room which wasn’t a problem for me.

I loved this hotel. I've been to Bali many times before, so was looking for a nice simple place walking distance to known spots like the yoga barn. I was delighted by the small, tranquil feel. The staff is limited but very friendly. My room was nice but I would have preferred one more toward the back of the house, where the views are (even more) beautiful. The pool and yard are quiet and very welcoming, as this was previously a private villa. Unfortunately there is no breakfast included, but there is a kettle, the staff are accommodating about you using the downstairs fridge, and there are a zillion great places to eat within a moment's walk. Although the address is on busy monkey forest road, the hotel is tucked up behind Hubud and very quiet, but accessible to everything! Internet worked great, too. I wouldn't come here if I were looking for a resort, but for a budget traveler who is pretty self-sufficient, it was like paradise.

Advertised as a place with a rice field view but more like a grass field view thats not properly maintained. Otherwise, everything else is decent. They only have 1 staff at any one time, responsiveness to my emails before my stay was almost non existent. Nice bath tub and clean room. If u like monkeys, u may get to see it from your room directly. It was literally right outside my windows.
