At first glance this home defines the vision of a cute lake cottage. This house has the cottage look and feel, but with comfortable living on the inside. The house is tucked along south shore drive which runs along the shoreline of Lake Macatawa, where the road can go no further due to that super large lake called Lake Michigan getting in the way. The neighborhood has a true lake town feel, where you'll see glimpses of the lake, feel the nice lake breezes and hear boats zipping across the lake.
This home has a total of 2 bedrooms and is furnished with 3 queen beds; one bedroom on the main floor (1 queen bed) and one bedroom that is lofted up to the second floor (2 queen beds). FYI, the second floor is accessed by a pretty steep set of stairs so please be aware when booking.

The property was very clean and close to where our appointments were in Holland and Zeeland. Communication with the host was prompt and the check-in process was easy. The property is small but well-stocked. Since there were only 2 of us, we only used the first floor, so cannot comment on the second floor/loft area. The property was fine for a short stay but there were several things that should be repaired on the property.

We really enjoyed our stay this July. This home is beautiful! We cook and this home has a great kitchen. The view from the house to the lake is incredible! The only thing we found a challenge was getting the AC to keep the space cool on the hotter days. It is the most incredible location and a charming home!!

Perfect size for 2, and a dog. Close to lake and town. Not easy to access either lake by foot, at least in the winter....the other side of Macatawa is nice for that. This location was drafty and cold in the winter.

We are baffled that VRBO gives it an exceptional rating and will not use VRBO again. Place is small but clean. There is a gap between the bottom of side door and the floor jam, you can actually see outside. A rusty kitchen sink and a facet that was very hard to move from one side to other. Duct tape is holding down the vinyl flooring. Refrigerator does not come up to temperature. The three door dresser in bedroom had only one useable drawer. Mattress needs to be replaced. There were dead bugs in overhead lighting in kitchen.
