Gion Guesthouse Yururi

The place was conveniently located near an interesting area of Gion. Clean cozy and sonwelcoming. Great hospitality, the guest house is fantastic. I would recommend to all types of travellers it was my first solo trip for a long stay internationally and felt very happy staying here. They speak very good English and provide an excellent guest experience.

When we arrived we were greeted by the super friendly owners who spoke enough english that there were no problems. They walked us through everything and showed us out rooms. We had some great conversations with the owners and they were more like friends than staff.The rooms were no particularly large but were big enough for two people. The Duvets were amazing and super fluffy and warm, you will be sleeping on a traditional futon here but not to worry as they are comfortable. The included breakfast consisted of some toast with spreads, tea/coffee and a banana. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and kept to a high standard. There was also washing machine that you could pay to use which we definitely did.The location is within walking distance of a train station, temples and most of the main sites of Kyoto as far as we were concerned although we were fit. The guesthouse it down a narrow alley way an near a alley intersection.In conclusion, the clean comfy beds and the super friendly staff made this one of the most memorable stays in Japan that we had.
