El Duque Comfortable apartment

Loved the apartment , quite a busy side of the complex. Unfortunately work going on across the road .

Nice modern and spacious apartment with large balcony for eating /sunbathing. Karolina very helpful. Nice pool and not busy.

Recently refurbished to a good standard, with everything needed for a home from home experience. Good location, with an excellent and hardly used pool, 10mins to the beach and a good bus service every 20mins into the more commercial Los Cristianos / Las Americas areas.

As no communication received from the property manager regarding check in, I messaged Nerius via VRBO 3 days before check in. 48 hours later (ie the day before check in) still no response so I phoned him asking about check in arrangements. Nerius replied that he would have to check that the apartment was available. I asked what he meant as we had a booking confirmation from VRBO. He said that was just an automated response! He said he would phone me back in 5 minutes once he had checked. While I was waiting, I trawled through VRBO and found a review of another of Nerius's properties where he had pulled the same stunt. The holiday makers did not get the property they booked! As he hadn't phoned back after 20 minutes I phoned him again. He said that the apartment was available and gave me his daughter's phone number to contact the next day. After a very sleepless night worrying if we would indeed get into the apartment, Karolina met us at the apartment. Relief! Be aware that there is only air con in the bedroom. The Wifi is actually very slow - we did a speed test. The apartment looks onto Calle Roque Fortaleza which is quieter than the main road. However it does overlook Tiggy's Bar so there is some noise when live music is playing. There are two single duvets on the bed rather than one large duvet that fits the size of the bed. This meant they got very tangled up which was uncomfortable. A nice complex and apartment, just a shame about the Management.
