ALTAMIRA SUNSET

We stayed at Altamira Sunset in August 2026 – it was perfect. The apartments: I’ll start by saying that every room has air conditioning! This came especially handy, as it was up to 30 degrees during the day and the sun was shining straight through the windows. The apartments have good appliances, and there are various cleaning and cooking supplies (oil, vinegar and even spices). The beds are comfortable, with a medium firmness. The Wi-Fi isn’t great – it cuts out occasionally – but, overall, it’s very decent. Excellent support during our stay – when I discovered that the iron wasn’t working, they replaced it straight away. Thanks to Sara! Location: a quiet complex with its own enclosed grounds and swimming pool. Of course, there were a few clever ones who reserved sun loungers with towels first thing in the morning, but there was always plenty of space even without booking. There’s a car park nearby, which is usually full during the day, but you can find a spot in the evening. There’s also a car park a little further away. Beach: the complex is situated at the junction of the ‘Yellow’ and ‘Black’ beaches. The Yellow Beach is better for children, as it has fine, soft sand. The Black Beach has very clear water, but the pebbles are a bit sharp. There aren’t too many people, especially on the Black Beach.

Very strange design, but you stop noticing it by the second day. The sounds of the disco late at night. Because of this, we had to close the bedroom window and sleep with the air conditioning on

Location is perfect, the apartment is easy to access and ina perfect position for both El Duquqe and nearby La Calteta. The bar in front is perfect for sunset cocktails

Bed was too hard and the settee had seen better days, if they upgraded those two it would make a big difference.

Ayant déjà loué l'appartement je trouve dommage que d'année en année il soit de plus en plus chargé au niveau déco. Cela l enlaidit et c'est dommage Les photos ne correspondent plus car beaucoup de toomuch

The apartment and the location were very good. The pool area was excellent. We were able to check in at 12:00 on the day we arrived.

There was no one at reception ever. This means that if say you lost your keys there was no help. When you texted the phone number of the property it sent an automatic reply saying it worked only Monday to Friday 9 to 5, and, outside of that, could only be contacted in emergencies. When we were leaving, we had to check out at 10:00. I have never before had to check out so early. The cleaner arrived at 9:55. Also, our bus to the airport was at 16:30, yet there was no place to put our cases until that time. The property has a luggage room. However, I communicated with Emma on WhatsApp, and that luggage room was not available to us. Emma suggested we asked the next people coming into our apartment after us if they would mind our cases for the day, something we found unacceptable. We had no choice but to bring the cases around with us for the day. If there was someone at reception, this would not have been an issue.
