Good breakfast, nice room, in old Kiruna. Perhaps last hotel and will be moved as well. Very friendly staff. Biggest gym I have ever seen at the hotel. Unfortunately very strange pool working hours, only after lunch and evening, no morning swim.

The rooms are small, old, dated, and not well kept (see the picture of the peeling fake-wood floor). However, what really makes this possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever dealt with is the fact that they shamelessly trick you into getting something different from what you paid for. I had a group of people, and two of the rooms I booked were supposed to have two twin beds. Well, they put my friends into rooms with one queen-size bed. When I complained, they showed me the small print that showed up after I made the reservation, in which, among many other things, they say they can’t guarantee room configuration requests (even though they allow you to pay for it). Now, here’s the thing: on Hotels.com, they can enter exactly how many rooms they have and the configuration, so when the rooms get booked, that configuration is no longer offered. In other words, they purposefully list rooms with one queen-size bed as having two twin beds. Picture yourself in this situation: you book a room that is listed as one configuration, and pay for it. However, when you arrive here, tired and looking forward to getting to your room, they tell you that what you paid for is not available, so you have no choice but to take what they will give you, or go through the hassle of cancellation, fight for a refund because you canceled in less than 24 hours, and still have to try to find another hotel in Kiruna. Would you want that? Well, that’s what you risk when you deal with this hotel.

We checked out immediately after checking in this a run down hotel. They did not argue, agreed to credit us and we moved to a reasonable hotel in the new part of town.

Great hotel with really friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast with plenty of options including fruit, eggs and pastries, the Thai grill was good for a quick bite and the restaurant / bar in the hotel had good food options which were excellent. In the old centre of kiruna so the new centre is a taxi ride away but if you’re out doing organised trips, it doesn’t really matter

Overall we enjoyed our 2 nights here. The room was spacious & we loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom! Breakfast was good & staff friendly Most of the tours seem to do pick ups here which is handy but with the town centre being relocated, it is a bit away from the new centre. As it was a weekend, apparently there are very few buses & local taxis are very expensive so we walked to the city centre to have a quick look at the snow sculptures, have a coffee etc. It probably took us nearly an hour walking in the snow which was fine but would have been challenging in ice. As the airport bus only connects with flights to Arlanda & we were connecting in Copenhagen, we booked a taxi through the hotel which worked well. If you have a car, there is good carparking.

This was a great choice for a home base in Kiruna. Although this side of town is being phased out, there is a grocery store and excellent Thai restaurant a short walk away. It was also easy for me to coordinate pick ups for my excursions from here. I was very comfortable in my cozy room, and I enjoyed the sauna as well. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Hi, checking process was not so good. We arrived at 22pm (Tue 2 July) and there was nobody in the reception. There was instruction to call to number +46 725555336 and I did two times...no answer. I went to restaurant to get help. Very nice guy helped and tried to fine someone to the reception...Suddenly after 15-20 minutes one staff people came to reception and I was able to check-in. Challenges continue...I had prepaid booking what I mentioned but I needed to pay the room rate again (second time) to get the room and possible to sleep after 10 hours driving... Next morning reception staff understood I have paid the room rate twice and they did refund what I should see after couple days in my credit card account. Otherwise good stay; good room with lond sleep, breakfast fine. BR Timo

Dont expect any luxury in this hotel. You have to remember the hotel is well above the Artic Circle. The car park is unmade, the hotel corridors and rooms are somewhat utilitarian. However, the staff were great and very helpful. There is a good bar, great dinning area and lovely conservatory area, along with an adjacent Thai cafe. .

The breakfast buffet was very good, pancakes for the kids, fresh bread with an excellent variety of toppings including smoked and cured salmon. The sauna was very nice (note that it is a co-ed shared sauna). But the indoor pool was not heated (at least not sufficiently for my taste). Much of the area around the hotel was under construction. The library room was closed due to remodel. The room was very nice with a bunk bed for the kids.

We stayed in the new building and it was quiet and comfortable. The comforters on the bed were very effective in keeping us warm at night and the heated bathroom floor was appreciated. The location is close to the old police station bus stop, a plus for those coming from or to the airport.
