    We had a great stay in Lisbon at the Monte Belvedere. There is a lot of walking to get in and around this hotel so not the best if it doesn’t work for your family. It worked for us as our children are bigger kids. The staff is so fantastic!! The room was very large and had lots of storage. The air conditioner was great, which is not always the case in some European hotels. We had two keys so we kept on in the room to ensure the air conditioner was on low while we were away as it would take a bit for it to cool down the room. No request was difficult for the staff to manage. We had a long day the day we checked out and they kept all of our luggage with them for free.

    The staff at check-in were excellent – very friendly and welcoming. The hotel’s location is fantastic, with major attractions and great restaurants just a short walk away. One thing to keep in mind is that the area may feel less safe at night, and since the hotel is situated on a hill, walking up can be a bit strenuous at times.

    The room itself and the rest of the hotel was just ok. Short on towels for two people, cramped, service difficulties, temperature control, a number of small issues that added up etc Breakfast and location and rooftop were great
