Hotel Pension Savoy am Kurfürstendamm

The location was good. The night staff stayed up when I arrives after 11 pm.

There are no lights in the room. Only lamps with no sockets in the walls

Sehr zentrale Lage. Wir hatten ein ruhiges Zimmer zum Innenhof. Das Hotel bietet ein optimales Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für einen Kurztrip. Im Umfeld finden sich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants.

The decor of the building, once I found it, was nice. Also its location was superb, Zoologischer Garten, 2 blocks away, was my starting point for sightseeing and was very convenient. With a 24 hour ticket I could take any train, bus or tram. I took the historic #1 and #2 buses to enjoy everything from the bus itself on a hot day. At 6 AM I would take the train to Hauptbanhof and from there to Brandenburg Gate to do the walk down Unter Den Linden. Downstairs is a local restaurant (Cafe Meineke ??) where I had wonderful zander dish and herring. A Russian and Georgian lady at the desk were both nice to talk to.

This place was difficult to find because there main entrance has multiple entries and even for the correct entry there are other residences in the building, there is no prominent sign outside. I only found it because one of the residents told me its upstairs. I went upstairs and knocked and nobody responded. I sent a message on the booking.com app and nobody responded. This was probably around 10 AM. Finally one person was going to his room in the hotel and let me in. On the 2nd day there was a German speaking guy that was rude when I asked about places to eat.

晚上11点到，在之前已线上联系并告知，得到肯定答复，但11点到后居然电话没人接，敲门没人应，信息没人回，当时真绝望！后来来了两住客才进去，但进去也无人值班办理check in，哎，就差点到隔壁旅馆办理入住了，头一次碰到这样的事…最后折腾到凌晨1点半才睡下…惊魂
