Lübeck is a charming town with a few nice cafes. Unfortunately, downtown looks like any other city. There’s no cute boutiques or such, just ugly cheap department stores.

My recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t working, and despite raising this with staff, no proper solution was offered. I requested a fan, which did very little to help in the heat, and my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed seriously. In addition, there was a drainage issue with the shower water pooled around my feet while using it, making it unpleasant and unhygienic. I raised this too, but again, the response was dismissive and nothing was done. Housekeeping also failed to service the room, which compounded the feeling that guest comfort simply wasn’t a priority here. Between the faulty AC, poor drainage, lack of basic housekeeping, and unhelpful staff, the overall experience was frustrating and uncomfortable. This stay did not reflect the standard expected for the price, and I wouldn’t return unless clear improvements were made.

I liked the architecture of the building and the room was clean. I didn’t like the loud A/C in the room and that they didn’t have vegan milk and something else besides a hummus (which was not good at all) to put on the rolls.

The young lady at check-in was very unprofessional. Being used to American hotels: there is no fridge, microwave, coffee maker in the room, ice machine on the property. This is of course not unusual for a German hotel.

The staff of H Hotel Lübeck are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Located next to the train station, the hotel is also located next to a hub for buses, and there are several restaurants and areas of interests that are within 10-15 minutes or less of walking time to the hotel. Though there is no onsite parking, the nearby lot is incredibly cheap and just about a minute‘s walk to the hotel. Bedding was comfortable and the onsite restaurant with a Schnitzel focused menu, is a nice place to unwind after a heavy day.

Great historic building. Standard sized rooms are really small, barely room to move round the bed, but very clean. We hoped to have an evening meal when we stayed but the restaurant was closed in the evening sadly. Breakfast was superb.

This is an great hotel to stay in when visiting Luebeck, 2 minutes walk from the train station, 10 minutes walk to the walled part of town. Room & bathroom very nice, no issues with anything. Check in was very easy & fast & I did welcome a check in at 11am. Breakfast was great, so many things to pick from. I rate this hotel A+

The hotel is very close to the train station, it was a good sized room with a comfy bed however the air conditioning did not work. Complained about the air conditioning and was informed by one staff member that he hoped it would work later( in time for bed) and if not then suggested getting breakfast on the hotel the following day, that evening complained again about the air con and was informed it not working but it’s to be a cooler night, asked to change rooms and informed no rooms available with working air con. The hotel is very noisy with the windows open, it’s a busy street and with them closed it was far too hot. Overall it’s ideal for location and if the air con was working would have been perfect. Staff friendly. Breakfast did not get offered the following day for the inconvenience.

I have stayed here multiple times - it is conveniently located at the main train station, buses a minute away, walking distance to the old city. I usually arrive by car - there is no parking behind the hotel anymore! Instead, there is a huge construction area for a new hotel. Parking is possible further from the hotel, but there is no walkway and dragging suitcases across cobblestone was not great. Everything else was as usual - the room was basic but clean and staff friendly. I do not know how noisy the construction is because I only stayed one night into the weekend. If arriving by car, please be aware that parking is an issue because of the construction!

“Free parking” is surprisingly after availability only. Really great to have around 20 parking spots for a hotel with almost 100 rooms, which was more or less fully booked during the summer holidays. So we were referred to the public parking area next to the central station which cost you € 4,50 for 24 hours. It is not a huge amount. But when we mentioned this to the receptionist we were just told that we are not the first and most likely not the last people to mention this issue. So I am still wondering why this hotel comes up when using the filter for “free parking”. So everyone, be aware of this. Besides that the air condition in the room was non-existing, and the bed was hard as stone. Furthermore, the gym is a 10 squaremeters room and has solely three cardio machines only. However, the breakfast was really great.
