The room is in need of full refbish, door to shower room falling off, mirror just hanging on, paint coming off the ceiling, needs a deep clean, also the lounge is more like a storage area, box's even a bike,if needed i could support with pictures & videos??

I was warmly greeted at the entrance and given a welcome letter and keys. When I went upstairs, the room was tidy and clean, but there was a lot of mold and it smelled bad. I had to open the window all night. I had no other choice and the heating in my room was not working. It was a bit cold. The next day, another man appeared and asked me if he could come into my room to measure it. I told him that I was leaving tomorrow and he could measure it early. I didn't want to share my privacy with him. I asked him who you were and why I was talking to you, but he said that the owner of the house told him to do so. I told him to come again tomorrow, but he just said we would be there in 10 minutes. I had no other way out and I had to let him in. I didn't feel safe in that place. Thank you and im not going back agen.

Read the reviews, arrived with apprehension. Never trust reviews, Paul greeted us, the ensuite room top of the stairs. For the price was great comfy bed tea and coffee and usual accessories. The street looks like it needs a bit of tlc We went to couple of pubs whilst here, locals were friendly curry shop was tasty

It was ok the bed was very comfortable and spacious,room was ok but signs of damp on ceiling not so good ,had kettle and tea coffee and milk and water and microwave in room ,didn't feel like sitting in living room as it looked like housekeepers belongings at dining table ,shame no breakfast available but you get what you pay for as I enjoyed the comfy bed all to.myself

The room was not tidied or bed made on second day for a property advertised as boutique I was not impressed at all. Shared living room was cluttered and not boutique in any way. Tea coffee not restocked. No toilet roll in shared toilet. Will not be returning.

On arrival it had a fousty smell and the furst impression was needs updating and the pictures they advertised dont show the problems with the property . We had a couple of problems whislt staying and the housekeeper said when i told him that yes they need to update and sort things out . There was samp in the room and the cleaniness of the property was poor . The street is very noisy with traffic up and down even late at night .

The property itself is a bit outdated although the room in which I stayed seemed newly refurbished and I liked it a lot! Even though it was a budget accommodation, it did include ammenities such as coffee, shampoo, shower gel, etc. The wifi was excellent. The neighborhood was conveniently located for my purposes (25-30 minute walk to Cardiff Bay and to downtown Cardiff). The neighborhood was on the residential side so not very lively. I was on the first floor and was able to hear people going past my door but not to the extent that it disturbed my sleep or work but it's something that would bother my friends with noise sensitivity. I arrived before check-in and the staff were kind enough to let my drop my bag for the few hours before I had to check in. The two that I met were really chatty and friendly.

I know it was a budget stay but we did not have a good experience. I never leave bad reviews. The bed was awful. So squeaky and noisy every time you made the smallest movement so had 2 really bad nights sleep. The room was so small and cramped. And in need of upgrading.

The neighborhood was extremely unclean with trash all over the streets. The room was very small, amenities are old (bed squeaking, shower and bathroom needing renovations), not clean (my sheets were not clean, had hair and spots on them, the towels were worn, the bathroom liquid soap had a black liquid residue coming out of it). At the check in, the person who opened the door didn't even let us properly enter the house before rushing into explaining things very hastily and they were not even wearing a mask. Not a welcoming or warm experience at all. Given the price (about 70-90 pounds per night) this accommodation is a rip off. I do not recommend it at all.

The room was clean and comfy the only dispointment was as you entered the hallway to where the stairs hadn't look like they've been hoovered or cleaned but then again we are just coming out the pandemic looks like there's been a flood in the landing stairwell in the ceiling there was a massive hole.. bathroom could do with a look great with the tiles lifting near the sink bathroom bin could have been done with emptying every day but again we have just coming out the pandemic so it would be nice to see what it looks like once Paul has got all his staff back.. i wouldn't call it a a boutique at the moment but like I've said it was a comfortable stay

A nice little B&B 10 mins drive from Cardiff Bay or a 35 min walk. Ty Rosa is in a great location, with ample on-road parking outside. A nice friendly greeting when i arrived. I stayed in Caerphilly Castle room which was clean and spacious, the bathroom was just a few steps downstairs. They provided water, a kettle, a dressing gown and some toiletries. I had the best 2 nights sleep in the luxurious bed and it's a pity i couldnt spend more time in it as i was in Cardiff for work. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Convenient bus stop outside but also within half an hour walk from city centre. Friendly and helpful staff. We were in the budget accomodation in the annexe over the road and it was in need of a makeover. There was a cental heating boiler and a fridge in the room. Both noisy. The fridge could be switched off (towel required on floor as the freezer compartment then defrosted), but the boiler could not be switched off.

Nicely decorated. Paul was hard working and welcoming, and cooked amazing breakfasts. And Stewart had an infectious personality. Of an issue I did have cause to flag up, Paul was refreshingly receptive and rectified immediately. Excellent value. Would certainly recommend!

The B&B is in a good location near the city centre, breakfast is great, but the rooms are very dirty. Theres mould on the shared bathroom shower curtain and ceiling, old toothpaste marks on the mirror and a visible layer of dust on everything with piles of it under the bed. The fire alarm panel shows faults so the alarms might not be working. The extractor fan in the bathroom doesnt work and theres no window to let the moisture out.

This was a very convenient place to stay as it was only a half hour walk to Cardiff bay and the bus into Cardiff stopped right outside the hotel. 15min walk to the nearest restaurant which was also a carvery on the retail park. in the breakfast room there were DVD's that you could borrow plenty of variety and although we didn't book breakfast you could still have it and pay on the day.

The b&b is very nice but the area is it in is not . Very run down . There was no car park. I had to find parking on the start witch I did not think was very safe. Over all the b&b is very nice.
