I went with my husband and 7 year old son and we had a good time in Simantro. Loved the view and resort surroundings with all the greenary around, best part was the beach side and beach beds Beach was beautiful my son enjoyed. Overall we had a good experience, i would only recomend few more restaurants to be availble to eat. Other than that nice experience, nice staff and good food.

This resort is secluded, surrounded by pine forest- air is fresh and there is a beautiful hiking area closeby. Beach is sandy, and mostly clean. Food was excellent- variety and quality. Rooms were clean but outdated furniture- we didn’t mind. Fitness centre didn’t have free weights, and was opening at 10am- which was too late for me. All in all, would return!

The food (buffet) is horrible! Breakfast and dinner buffet horrible! Everything crab! The rooms have never been cleaned - until we claimed / asked for it. We felt like WE are the problem to them - already at the reception by doing check-in - and also at many other places in Greece. We came for a Big Fat Greek Wedding and the greek Bride told us that the Greeks are like that and she feels sorry for it. Maybe one reason why she left Greece long time ago. We will never ever come again to Greece. The food wad also not good at other places- beside two or three exceptions.

Relaxing place to stay. Good food, friendly staff. Had a good stay but 2 main issues, there is chaos in terms of parked cars & please could they address the “reserving sunbeds” as it seems to start at 6am and a quite crowded beach becomes impassable

The hotel is not a five star hotel, maybe three stars with greek standards. It says that they offer a gym. Thats not true. Every machine in the gym is broken and there are no free weights. So there is nothing you can use to train with. The gym does not exist. The rooms are really old. Probably nothing has been done since the hotel opened. It was not clean and the everyday cleaning was really bad. They gave us dirty sheets and towels. Spiderweb in the bed and dust everywhere even after they cleaned. Everything is really expensive at the hotel they take advantage of the situation where there is nowhere else you can go to shop food and water. The water cost more than what is legal. The ice cream is super expensive. They even charge the sunbeds on their private beach. Peole get to put their towels on the sunbeds in the morning so noone can use it even if there is noone there. The kids club operates in the morning and afternoon when you want to go swimming. There is nothing to do for kids in the night. And the house for kids is also really old and badly taken care of. Almost no toys and not a place where kids want to spend time in. The people who works there get irritated when you give constructive criticism. The food feels mass-produced instead of genuine.

Been there twice, in a relatively short period. First time there were hardly any guests, second time pretty full. In both cases staff is very helpful, very friendly. The resort biggest asset. Special compliments for the Front Office, wellness & restaurant(s) staff. The resort is definitely money worth, but not the mentioned 5 stars. For truly 5 star rating the building / rooms urgently need a proper update. We stayed in building 3, the rooms are nice & spacy but as said, very old. Toilet (plumbing), wall outlets, tiles, wifi, they all need some work.. My biggest point of criticism would be the Gym.. that is really a "no go", even unsafe to use the running machines. They should be replace at once. Woudl I come back again? Yes. Definitely money worth and I love the kindness of the people

Overall a nice 4* experience, definately money worth! Biggest plus: the people. All very friendly and very helpfull. Nice! Although it was very quiet, all services very provided. I love the location, right on the beach, also 3 nice pools. Only one negative point: the gym..very old, should definately be renewed.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Simantro half board. Easily accessible from Thessaloniki, beautiful authentic architecture and lush Green surroundings. Safe beach and stunning terrace looking over it. Very impressive buffet spread and super friendly staff. Had a massage at the spa from the lovely Georgia and bought souvenir gifts from the minimarket, made friends, relaxed and we even swam in the pool despite the cooler time of year. I would highly recommend.

Upon our arrival at the hotel on 16/8 they gave us rooms in dark cells on the ground floor 411, 413 with cars parked in front although we paid 235 euros for the room and only after much discussion in the evening they changed us to satisfactory rooms 725,727 which had a view of the fields and they were 500 meters from the beach. The umbrella was paid 10 euros daily, while the breakfast was disappointing. The 5 stars are not deserved for this hotel, although the surrounding areas, swimming pools, gardens were very good

Great location in the woods, good resort but not well maintained. Food was good and receptionist but cleanness was really bad. Even though we asked for better cleaning, the cleaning lady didn't did her job and left it also part clean so we needed to clean it afterwards.

The place was nice, the people who worked their are some very nice like Gianis, Olimpia, but others are very lazy like the Ladies that make the room. The food was so so. The entertainment team are trying to make everyone feeling good, the children, the adults, they are made even a dancing show . So the location make the hall even that you are in the middle of nowhere, but they don't deserved 5 Star's in all the people's that I've discussed opinions.

One of the worst hotel experiences I and my friends had culminated in severe bed bug bites all over legs and arms of several people from our travel party. The intense itching, hives and other symptoms associated with bed bug bites continued well past our stay at the hotel. Housekeeping regularly and to a good standard cleaned the rooms, but that is of little relevance when you are also being regularly bitten by bed bugs. We got in touch with the hotel to let them now of the bed bug infestation in their property and of the symptoms their future patrons will experience. Unfortunately, the hotel's representatives did not take our complaint seriously and did not let us know that the necessary sanitary checks will be conducted in at least the specific rooms we stayed in. They also went as far as to accuse us of lying. So, customer service is also not the strongest point of the hotel. Definitely, positively not a "5 star-rated" hotel by any reasonable assessment. The hotel's own rating is a blatant exaggeration, while this site's assessment of it being a 5 star property points clearly to the inadequacy of the site's ratings system and/or inability to verify the ratings of the hotels it provides.

This hotel is definitely not a five star. Starting from cups which were never washed after single coffee by room cleaning team to drink selection where in all inclusive branded drinks required cash payment each time and caused major disruption for bar team. Food selection was poor and was every day the same and when we took ice cream in the canteen - we were asked to eat it inside and don't take it out. With this horrible canteen - no single a-la cart restaurant. We have booked a suite with sea-view, however were given just two connected rooms with pool view where see was seen only from the corner of the balcony - we tried to discuss this with reception, but they claimed that we were given the best rooms according to our booking. Towels deserve a special note: you can receive them from 10am to 12pm and give back from 4pm to 6pm, you have to deposit 10 EUR per towel and you given a receipt to claim them back. So, if you want to replace you towel after lunch you can't do. Overall very disappointing experience.

Also the Air Conditioning did not work, we couldn't sleep for 4 nights. When they came to look at it, Handy man stated he could not fix it. The food was bad, our entire family of 7 got sick, we all got food poisoned. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL FROM HELLLL.

This hotel does not deserve five stars rating . It is full of people and they do not care about the guests. The food is not good. They charge you for everything ... for internet , safe...ect and you have to pay deposit for safe , towels ... etc . They charged me additional tax while it was not announced in the website ... there is no phone or internet coverage in the hotel . The hotel internet is chargeable and is weak .

Overall we had a lovely time. The beach is fantastic, lovely clean soft sand. The hotel itself is really good with fantastic staff. The rooms were very comfortable and kept spotless by the housekeeping staff. The only areas that could do with some attention are the food and the availability of Wi-Fi. The food is generally very good (breakfast in particular!) but lunch and dinner were a bit repatative and, to be honest, a bit quick, mass catering events. I fully appreciate the effort involved to safely cater for so many guests but if you claim to be 5 star then perhaps the food needs a little attention? Also the Wi-Fi needs looking at. In todays world, guests do expect connectivity at all times. To have it available with a working signal around the reception only is too restrictive as the signal in the rooms was so hit and miss it became deeply frustrating. Either limit it totally to the reception and clearly advertise it as such or invest in boosters so that it is properly available in the rooms.

Family room was very comfortable with one toddler. They are on the ground floor with access to the garden. In general the whole development is in a pine forest with low construction and space. Slightly damp which they should look after. Also, no nets on windows for the mosquitos which help a lot.

The hotel is isolated with no other hotels or amenities close by, so if you are looking for a holiday just lazing around the pool or beach, then this is a good place. The nearest town is about 12/15 minutes away by taxi (16 Euros). I had asked about internet access and was informed there was modem access in the room. There is no internet access from any room, although there is an 'Internet Corner', however this does not open until 18:00 local time. Apart from that, the food is good/freshly made, varied enough for a weeks stay. The pools and lawn well kept. Looking around it looks as if the different accomdation blocks were built at different times and the earlier ones could do with a little updating. Overal though a nice hotel/complex.
