Days Inn and Suites by Wyndham St. Louis/Westport Plaza

Property seemed dated, paint and wall paper peeling. Room was clean and quiet. Overall good place to sleep, which was all we needed.

This Days Inn has seen better days. The property is very shabby. The halls smelled of smoke even thought it's a smoke-free building. The best I can say about our room was that it had been cleaned, the bed was comfortable, and it had a microwave and a refrigerator, although the refrigerator made noises throughout the night. Other than that, the draperies were partially hanging off the rod, and had many small holes where the material was eaten through or worn away. The carpet, while seemingly clean had many stains. The bathtub, while also clean, was stained gray on the bottom from years of use. The door was missing from the closet and provide only one hanger. The stopper was missing from the sink. Only two bath towels were provided and three pillows on a king-size bed. Drawer handles were missing or hanging off the dressers. There were gouges in the walls, and the wallpaper in the bathroom was wrinkled and coming off the wall by the toilet. We saw one creepy crawler around the sink. Breakfast was included, but they only had cereal and white bread. The hot chocolate machine had been broken for some time, and they had no orange juice. When we asked about the food, they pulled out a couple of bagels to toast. The next day was marginally better. They had a waffle iron set up. This property also seems to be used as housing for very low income or homeless, but we can't verify that. This hotel does not seem to be worthy to be a Wyndham property.
