The cleanest inside the unit it was horrible Coke roaches everywhere at 9:00 the room had a can of beer inside the top faucet was broken no soap no enough towel it was a completely a disaster in there not wishing anybody to go there and have that kind of experience for the price

This property appeared to house mostly long-term residents rather than travelers. The parking lot was filled with rundown vehicles — one was even missing a tire, and someone was performing an oil change on another. There was a deflated kiddie pool outside one of the rooms, and the pool on the property appeared empty or in disrepair. The receptionist was openly carrying a firearm on her hip, which added to our discomfort. We also observed what seemed to be individuals involved in drug activity, including one person digging through trash and others who appeared to be sex workers. After checking in, we sat in the car for a while, taking everything in. The overall environment felt extremely unsafe, and we ultimately decided not to even enter our room — we left immediately. Given how unsettling the situation was, we strongly believe a refund is warranted. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone.

This property was absolutely disgusting. We ordered a room with the fridge and a microwave did not get that after calling numerous times we finally get it and the microwave is dirty. The room was dirty. There was a cockroach overall I would like to be refunded.

My opinion of this hotel is not good and these remarks are based on my experiences during my stay. We had reserved three rooms for four days due to a family member in the hospital nearby. Upon arrival at the hotel, there were police in the parking lot. Even though it was almost 10pm, lots of people were hanging out smoking on the walkways in front of their rooms smoking, drinking and cooking. It was evident that a lot of people were living there in the hotel. I went to my room and it had not been cleaned so after returning to reception, they gave me a different room which was dirty, had roaches and smelled of smoke and marijuana. My family members' rooms were the same. Everything on the property was filthy and smelled. Walkways were sticky and you had to dodge run off from the walkways as you went up and down the stairs. The hotel is located on a 3 lane frontage road right on a major interstate and was noisy all night long. Despite having reservations for four days, we checked out the next morning due to the state of the hotel and safety concerns. The desk staff did not know how to check us out and despite them telling us they would sort it out and get back with us, noone has contacted us and all of us are still trying to get refunds for the unused days and the hotel has been completely unresponsive. I have travelled a lot in my life and i was not expecting a 4 star hotel but do expect a little effort in maintaing a property and keeping it clean.

Daniel, the evening manager was very accommodating of two nights Expedia got my reservation wrong and we had to wait to get in a room our first night because we didn't have the reservation I booked. And the room we had for sure Friday was emptied out because our Expedia reservation was canceled, when I had only asked to have Saturday night cancelled. Daniel and the housekeeper worked very hard both days to get an unbooked room ready for us. But they seemed to be very overcome with bad parking customers and too many problems with other things like a homeless lady and noisy kids on skate boards.

There were cockroaches in the room, no hot water in the room, burn holes from cigarettes on the bedding, room smelled awful, the smell of weed was overpowering everywhere inside and outside, people had dogs that WERE NOT OTHER DOG FRIENDLY!!!! Our dogs travel with us and LOVE everyone they meet, humans and other dogs and I will never understand others who think it’s okay to travel with dogs that are aggressive. Just my opinion. If you have to wave your hand at me to stay in my room cause your dog is that aggressive towards humans and other dogs then you shouldn’t be traveling with your dog. And the hotel should do a better job of observing and keeping these “pets” out of their hotel.

This property looked so unsafe i instantly canceled my reservation i didnt even go up to the room there were skateboarding individuals in the parking lot skating loitering an drinking a liquor bottle while out there there was 2 broken down vehicles one truck was being worked on the the parking lot an there were about 3 different male individuals just standing around two were out by the office another was just on the 2nd level pacing upstairs like he was on an observation deck they all had brown/tan motel 6 shirts on they looked dirty an sketchy i didnt even feel comfortable to go up an even check out my room i was really disappointed because we've chosen motel 6 several times in the past and properties were always acceptable but san marcos motel 6 was an absolute no for me

Since floor had no carpet, it needs to be mopped. Just getting into the tub, it was black from my feet getting wet. Killed 3 roaches & 1 got away. So needs fumigating. Had to ask for batteries for the remote, which worked the first night, but not the next. Staff was friendly & willing to help.

Arrived to check in. Female in office with presumably her children. Gave me keys to my room. We went to the room and it smelled like cigarettes and weed in the room. The entire floor was so sticky you could hardly walk without making a ton of noise. There was no refrigerator and i had reserved the room thinking there was one. I went back to the office and requested another room with a refrigerator. She moved us to another room. We moved the car, doding kids playing in the parking lot. Went up to the room, having to pass people sitting on the stairs smoking Marijuana. The second room was much cleaner, but still not clean. The comforter had cigarette burn holes. The towels were very musty and worn. We went out and came back after midnight, when we returned, there were dozens of people hanging out partying in the parking lot. The mattress was very uncomfortable, i felt like i was sleeping on springs the whole night. Not one of my better stays at a Motel 6. Very disappointed.

I recently stayed at Motel 6 and had a positive experience. The evening clerk was very helpful, making check-in a breeze. The rooms were clean and easily accessible, which was a big plus. Another great aspect was the free parking available, and it was convenient to have a pool on-site for relaxation. Overall, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Motel 6.

No. Just no. Don't stay here unless you want to fight off bugs and avoid bed stains. Or get a contact high from the front desk when you check in. We were attacked by bugs as soon as the lights were on. We managed to kill the first wave with no casualties, and the only reason we stayed the one night was because we got there after 130 am and had to sleep, in all our clothes, with shoes on ready to run as soon as the sun was up. Upon rising, we dashed out as fast as we could. Admitting defeat from the mornings three pronged attack from bugs, we retreated to the safety of another hotel the next night and are happy to say, we survived. But I will say the the woman at the counter in the morning was pleasant and duly said she'd speak to the manager for us and make sure we didn't get charged for another night.
