Vintage Hilton Head Island Condo: Steps to Beach!

Property was excellent. We had stayed at this location before. It is in excellent condition and had plenty of room for my family.

The only negative was that the ice maker in the refrigerator was not working, but other than that everything else was excellent.

The condo was updated with some bright white curtains from the pictures when we booked which was a pleasant surprise! It is one of the few condos on the property that has a large side deck that worked out great for the adults to hang out at night while the kids were inside sleeping. The 3 full bathrooms were a pleasant surprise, we had assumed (even though looking back at photos it was clear) that it was 2 full and 1 half. The bed set-up in the lower bedroom is what sold the condo for us, it worked out great as the kids' room! We were glad each room had blackout curtains, having two fridges and freezers was a huge perk (although we really could have benefitted from an ice maker or some sort of filtered water dispenser!), and the large dining room table was great to accommodate the majority of our group. Although we only ended up using the coffee pot, the Keurig and blender were nice surprises. Having towels, linens, and some beach supplies available to us, plus the hose outside to rinse off feet and beach gear were perks. The pool setup is great for families!

The kitchen oddly is lacking outlets...we dealt with it, but we had to constantly unplug things and move things around. The toaster leaves much to be desired...nice that it has 4 slots but probably time for an upgrade, the numbers for the heat dial are pretty much rubbed off and the top corner of one slot always would leave toast and waffles burnt. We saw and dealt with probably 6 or so palmetto bugs (the nice name for cockroaches...) during our stay and shared this with our contact. The outlets in the bedrooms also were very old and items would unplug while being used (hair dryer, straightener, etc.) because they were loose. The full bathrooms were a tight squeeze (compared to a layout we saw in another unit that included a shower stall AND a separate full tub) but we made it work. As mentioned above there's no cold filtered water option through either fridge and also zero ice maker (but two ice trays) which would be nice updates.
