Sand Lily Villa Mykonos

Just beautiful inside and out.

We had a wonderful stay at Sand Lily Villa in Mykonos! The location is excellent—just a short 5–10 minute walk to town, where you’ll find charming restaurants and winding alleys full of life. Stephanos’s dad kindly greeted us and waited up for our late arrival at 11:00 p.m., which we really appreciated. I recommend taking a taxi from the airport (around €25). The villa can be a bit tricky for some taxi drivers to find, so make sure you have Stephanos’s phone number handy so the driver can contact him directly. When we arrived, Stephanos had thoughtfully prepared some bread, cheese, banana, and cold cuts for us in the refrigerator—perfect for making a simple breakfast sandwich the next morning. There’s also a supermarket nearby, just a 5-minute walk away. It’s called “AB,” which is all you really need to remember since that’s what everyone calls it! The view from the villa is absolutely breathtaking. You wake up to endless shades of blue—the sky and the ocean blending into one. It’s the kind of view that makes you forget anything you were ever upset about. You can watch seagulls flying overhead and see the cruise ships and tour buses bringing visitors into town, all from the comfort of your quiet spot above the bustle. But for me, the most memorable experience wasn’t strolling through the town—it was the evening we cooked a simple dinner of ramen and salad, poured a glass of red wine, and watched the sunset together. As the blueness of the sea slowly faded into darkness, I felt completely at peace.

The uphill walking was bit exhausting for me. But that is a price I must pay for the breathtaking views.

the location is the highest point on the cliff that overlooks all the water on both sides of the island with super easy access to walk the town, all the shops, and the restaurants.
