    Excellent staff and customer service. having some extra space and the kitchenette were so helpful. loved the location by a temple and easy walk to Gion area but still a quiet street. Mimaru is the best

    A great base for exploring Kyoto. The apartment-style rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean — we had a two-bedroom suite with comfortable beds and a modern, simple aesthetic. Like much of Japan, it’s on the pricier side, but the space and amenities make it excellent value. The little extras set this place apart: free sake and activities in the lobby every afternoon, thoughtful amenities like slippers and skincare products, reliable WiFi, and luggage forwarding service which was incredibly convenient for moving between cities. Staff were friendly and spoke excellent English, making check-in and any requests effortless. The property is tucked away on a quiet side street near a temple, so nights were peaceful despite being centrally located. Location is very practical: a few minutes from Shijo Station, with plenty of restaurants nearby and a 7-Eleven steps away for easy snacks and breakfast. Most major attractions require a train ride, but transit access makes that easy. Would stay again without hesitation — especially for families or small groups who want more space and the comforts of an apartment.

    First time staying in a Mimaru hotel and felt so much at home during our 4 nights stay. It has everything you need from laundry detergent to kitchen wares, free flow of coffee at the lobby and beer/sake in the evening. Very clean and considered spacious for Japan hotel standards. Various activities are available for guests to experience, small gestures that will bring many fond memories.
