Simple, comfortable

Very cozy, warm B&B in the centre of Novi Sad. The retro rooms, which are full of genuine ancient furniture (restored) might come as.a surprise. I laid down in my bed with scepticism, but it turned out to be very comfortable -slept like a baby. The bathroom was completely modern. The establishment is owned by a generous couple. The breakfast was tasty and the restaurant (open in the evening) serves home-made food.

For that price in the very town centre, I wouldn't complain. Still, the hotel has old-fashioned windows, headphones saved me from drunk teenagers noises down the street.

Great breakfast and central location worth for money!

It's a family running business by a couple and their 4 children. Pro: 1. Delicious breakfast by homemade products 2. Central location, just 7-10 min walking to Old Town and same distance to Danube Quay with a gorgeous view day & night. 3. Cleanliness in the room and quite area 4. The host is very friendly and eager to help with info / advise. Special thanks! 5. Overall the best money you can buy!

Cons: 1. No private parking at the property, however there is a big parking nearby, just around the corner - 3 min walking. But you have to pay for it. 900 dinars per day. 2. Unusual spartan conditions in the quite small room: 2 separate wooden beds, a wardrobe without a single hanger, no TV and no small fridge. Otherwise the room is very clean as well as bed clothes and bathroom towels

Food in restaurant downstairs was delicious. Bathroom nice, clean, spacious. Nice owners. Very close to city centre.

I missed light by bed, I could not read book before sleeping. We had problem with parkiing because of reconstruction of road nearby.

A 5 star experience in hospitality and gastronomy

A very spacious room with a high ceiling and plenty of sunlight in a lovely building with a traditional architecture and modern interior. It really exceeded my expectations for the area. Very good value for money. I loved the Kafanica restaurant right underneath the rooms. Genuine Serbian cuisine of the area of Voevodina, generous portions and good quality rakie to go along. Last but not least a very helpful and welcoming staff that made my stay comfortable and fun. I initially booked to stay one night but stayed longer because of the beauty of the town and the welcoming atmosphere in Lakis & Takis B&B and the lovely food. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you Takis and Goran.

Superb

The host was very friendly and helpful and quickly prepared our rooms. The service was excellent as the hotel is a family-run business. There is a restaurant within the hotel and the food was fantastic, both the dinner and the breakfast.

Booking com did not forward the information about our booking to the host. We were told that this happens from time to time. Nevertheless, our hosts reacted friendly and quickly.

Even though we spent there only one night with my father, we enjoyed the place a lot. The staff and the owner are great people, friendly and generous. The place is very cozy and central. It has exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately we did not know beforehand that they had a great restaurant. We would have tried the dinner there as well. Thank you and wish to be back one day.

Maybe room heating can be improved. Don't know how though (considering 2022 energy prices :| )

Bizarre owner

Breakfast was good the first two days. On the 3rd it was less than average and on the 4th there was none

Unexplainably morose owner who kicked me out because I was late for the included breakfast (and he didn't give me any breakfast). Can swing from (apparently) friendly to agressive in the blink of an eye. The chair in the room was bad for the back. The restaurant downstairs was near-always empty, meaning it felt creepy getting breakfast, even if they did their best (when there was breakfast)
