Frank Porter - Fairmont Residence South

My family had a great stay at the Fairmont South Residence Frank Porter serviced flat. The apartment was sprawling-ly large and well decorated. The renovation was fresh and modern and the furniture comfortable. We did a combination of cooking and eating out so it was nice to have all the cooking equipment to dine and even entertain. The real bonus was the balcony which was transformed into a den and cooled by the main central air with the door left open. This provided a place for the kids to entertain themselves away from the adults in the living room. Frank Porter as professional host company was incredibly organised and accommodating. Check-in was seamless - which is important when you arrive at a flat after a late flight. We had a longer multi-week stay so Frank Porter was very helpful in organising cleaning, fresh towels and sheets at a reasonable cost as often as we required. The South Residence private pool is among the nicest and most refreshing on the palm. While there were no negatives, areas for consideration would be for the host to provide beach towels for the guests for the resident pool. Finally, while some of the residences offer beach/pool/gym cards for complimentary use at the Fairmont Resort, this flat does not offer these. It is reflected in the price of the flat (less costly then some of the other hosts) and was easily sorted with the Fairmont directly at reasonable cost. I highly recommend for a family or group of friends!

Great location for us, mixed self catering and eating out, making most of happy hour offers! 2 local supermarkets within 5 min walk, also loads of restaurants within 10 min walk. Pool area immaculate and very quiet, Kevin in reception was very helpful!

Only small complaint was that for 4 people we were short of glasses only 1 wine glass, 3 tumblers, 3 flutes, that was it!

The location is very good. The beach is nearby, and the pool area is very beautiful and clean. A shop is close by.

There was a lot of confusion upon arrival, as the information about accessing the apartment was only sent very shortly before we arrived. The apartment was spacious and well furnished, but the soundproofing of the second bedroom is very poor, and street noise and nighttime disturbances were clearly audible inside. In the kitchen, there were cockroaches in the fridge and the dishwasher.
