The location was great. Took 20 mins in a taxi from the airport which cost €33.
The apartment is literally across the street from Alvarado metro station, so in a great location for getting around the city.
The app for the apartment was great. Although, upon arrival, it does not allow you to unlock the door until you have paid the €200 damage deposit.
Ensure you download the MiT House app before arriving - and read all of it, so you know exactly where to go and what to do.
The apartment itself was great. Large communal area - open kitchen/dining/living room. And we had 3x double rooms, 2x bathrooms and a sofa bed in the living room.
We were 2x families of 4. And had plenty of room.
The sole purpose of our long weekend was to attend the Real Madrid v Atlético Madrid game.
So location-wise, we were around 20 mins walk from the Bernabéu stadium.
Towels included in the stay.
Dishwasher tablets provided. Along with kitchen sponge, dishcloth, tea towel and washing up liquid.
Toilet roll provided.
Beds are extremely comfortable! Probably the best mattresses & pillows we’ve had in our stays around the world!
There are a couple of shops nearby - 10 mins walk to the larger supermarket which is right by McDonalds at the bottom of the street.
Not many bars or restaurants in the vicinity of the apartment. Best option is to ride the metro into the centre where there are plenty more choices.
If travelling with children, there’s a lovely park called Parque de Calistenia - playground, water fountains, outdoor gym, plenty of grass space. And a couple of nice restaurants across the road. Ensure you book though as we tried walk-in but was reservations only.
During the long weekend, we bought a 10-journey travel pass for the Metro for just over €10. We used 2 passes between 8 people (under 4’s are free). We just pushed a child through the barrier with each adult! This lasted us all weekend.
We also used it for our journey back to the airport.
The ONLY issue we had was the noise. The apartment needs some serious, serious, sound-proofing.
The door to the apartment (to reduce noise from the stairwell/corridor - people are loud), and the 2x patio doors in 2 of the double bedrooms.
The noise from the street is awful. And I don’t mean general traffic.
I mean the dustbin lorry that arrives between midnight and 4am, emptying the giant bins and skips on the side street along the side of the apartment.
We stayed for 3 nights and each night (even on Sunday where I hoped would not happen), we were woken to the sound of crashing and banging.
The doors just need some sort of sound proofing to provide a good nights sleep.

Location is brilliant right next to a metro stop and just off a busy street. Accommodation was nice
and clean and was well suited to a group of our size.
Air Con panel was broken which meant we couldn't turn it on.
It was 33/34 degrees in Madrid whilst we were there and this made being in the apartment quite unpleasant, especially when trying to sleep.
We complained and whilst they were quick to respond, could not fix the issue whilst we were there.
