Very disappointed even before we arrived.

Obry was helpful.

After signing up with booking.com and having paid the deposit we were required by the manager "Top Destinations" to agree to further ridiculous and draconian terms and conditions in a further contract without which we would not have been able to gain access to the property and no doubt would have had a long and painful battle to recover our non-refundable total payment in advance. Such archaic and mercenary practices should be illegal and suffice to say this experience outweighed all positives and dampened our entire experience.

Not suitable for winter

The location was good, only a few mins drive to the beach. The agents were friendly and tried to help when we had problems.

The apartment wasn't equipped for cold weather. There was a faulty heating unit, no blankets and only a thin cover for the bed. The electric sockets were not suitable for adaptors and didn't work even with some of those provided. The hot water only lasted a few minutes for a shower, and was not enough for even 1 person. The electricity meter was also not topped up and ran out with no instructions on how to top it up. The curtains in the bedroom are thin and let in a lot of light early in the morning. The noise from the road outside was loud even with windows closed and kept us awake. A lot of improvements are needed.

Comfortable home from home.

Well situated on main rd, very well equipped, clean and airy. Comfy beds, ceiling fans very appreciated, great couch and big smart tv in lounge.

Comfortable 1st floor apartment nearly in the heart of Hermanus

Great location, short distance into town..

After booking.com confirmation I was contacted by Top Destinations to fill out forms etc. I received forms, emails, phone calls etc to provide confidential personal information for no apparent reason, because apparently there's no breakage deposit refund due. This was all too tedious for my liking and I suspect, against GDPR. Now I also receive mail from Top Destinations which I did not sign up for :-(
