Located at the town center, the Big Chill is a hot-spot for entertainment and features an outdoor 25 ft LED theater screen for sporting events and movie nights on the green. Beach Accesses for ALL Prominence homes are via South Walton public beach access points. Most Prominence guests utilize Deer Lake State Park beach access or other nearby public beach accesses. Prominence homes do not have direct beach access via Watersound Club nor do they have access to Watersound private club facilities.
INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.
E-Checks are accepted for advance reservations at no additional charge (15 days prior to check in). All credit card payments will incur a 3.5% convenience fee.

Access to beach was complicated and frustrating. Not enough refrigeration for large groups. Internet kept failing and was unreliable. Proximity to pool was nice. For price...mehh never again.

Loved everything about it! If I had one thing, it would be nice to access to the beach from the neighborhood instead of having to drive a car.

The house was perfect for what we needed. The location was great, only complaint was distance to public beach access. The golf carts made that easier though. Some of the linens/bedding in the home were not clean and had stains. Otherwise we have no complaints and really enjoyed ourselves!

We were pleasantly surprised by the neighborhood where this house is located in 30A. It is a very nice, clean and orderly place. The pool being right next door was a huge plus! Parking was a bit of an issue. Since it was a fairly decent size group, we had more cars than could fit in the drive way. We were told that additional cars can park in the pebbled area parking but one car had a warning sticker about being towed if it was not moved. The inside of the house was absolutely beautiful with great amenities. Every room had a bathroom so we didn't really need to share any and the patio/balcony areas were really great. We spent most of our time eating breakfast or dinner out there. There were some stains on one bed's sheets but that sheet was easily pulled off so we didn't need to call housekeeping. There was an extra trash can inside the cabinet/sink island that housekeeping missed emptying before our arrival but not a major issue. The biggest disappointment was that the listing said "easy beach access." We went to the PanHandle Getaways office and confirmed there was no beach access, we could only go to the public beaches and the nearest one didn't have parking. I learned that the neighborhood's Watersound Club and beach access was private. This was very disappointing and other people renting homes there, who we spoke with at the pool, were also confused by this. The listing should be specific so people know they will need to go to public beaches nearby.
