I present you an apartment of new design and very cozy, located in a quiet street of the famous Bairro Alto, the most typical and bohemian neighborhood of the city, full of small restaurants and bars. The apartment is in a building completely renovated in 2019 where you will find 6 apartments for tourist rental! From here, you can visit Lisbon's most interesting sights on foot. Bairro Alto is an area with several theaters, bookstores, typical cafés, art galleries and many design stores. It is 300 meters from the neighborhoods of Príncipe Real and Chiado, considered the most trendy in Lisbon!
This is a very comfortable one bedroom and living room apartment, located on the basement of a very quiet street in the famous Bairro Alto! The building is completely new and I have 6 apartments for tourists. You cannot find a better location! From the apartment, you can visit the most interesting sights and monuments of Lisbon, and you can also easily reach the area next to the river where you can go hiking or rent a bicycle. From here, you can easily visit the São Jorge Castle, the Cathedral, or even stroll in Rossio and Chiado where you can find famous monuments to visit. It is just a few steps away from the most famous viewpoint in Lisbon, the “Miradouro São Pedro de Alcântara”. If you like nightlife, in the bohemian quarter of Bairro Alto you will find what you are looking for. If you want to visit the main shopping areas, both in Bairro Alto and Príncipe Real you can find several design stores. Inside the apartment you will find all amenities, including air conditioning, cable TV, wifi internet, kitchenette with fridge, washing machine, Nespresso coffee machine, citrus press, toaster, kettle, microwave, oven and hob. cooking, iron and hairdryer. The apartment accommodates 4 people and consists of a suite with a complete bathroom, a large wardrobe and a very comfortable large bed (180cmx200), as well as a large living room with a complete bathroom, where you can find two sofa beds that are convertible in twin beds. The owner of communication was great. The unit was clean and everybody was friendly. The location was great and easy walk capability of the neighborhood.

Patricia was a great host, communication was great and she responded quickly. The apartment was well located for the area we wanted to visit. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Very modern apartment had what we needed.

The apartment is in a good location, close to lively bars and evening eateries, and close enough to shopping areas. It’s in a busy neighborhood, so streets can get crowded on weekend nights, but sound was not an issue inside. The check-in process was smooth—you unlock the building with your phone and use the apartment key from a lockbox. The host also provided a small welcome basket, which was a nice touch.
A few things to note: this is a basement unit with stairs and no elevator, despite the original listing stating it was on the ground floor. Something to keep in mind if you have trouble with stairs.
We experienced cold showers throughout our stay, which was frustrating. We were a group of 4, and only 1-2 people could get a hot shower before the water ran out. The hot water tank drains quickly, partially also due to a leaking shower head that wasted a lot of the hot water. The host advised us to split up shower times across morning and night, but that is inconvenient for a traveling group.
Additionally, while the apartment was mostly clean, we discovered that 2 comforters we were sleeping in were stained, which was not a great surprise. The host did replace them promptly the next day, which we appreciated.
Lastly, it can take a few tries to secure an Uber, and Bolt doesn’t pick up directly here, likely due to narrow streets and nighttime crowds loitering the streets.
Overall, it’s a decent stay if you enjoy a lively neighborhood, but there are a few issues to consider.
