About this house rental
Built in 1837, the house has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The lake is less than 50 metre from the property boundary, so there are lake views from many rooms and from the large gardens and meadow. We have 4 luxurious double bedrooms, all ensuite, there is a beautiful kitchen and dining room, and an elegant drawing room. Close to Ambleside (centre of the Lake District), with easy access to other villages, the lakes, and the fells. On site parking. As good as it gets!

The experience exceeded our expectations. The rooms were larger, the views better and the hosts delightful. I hope it will not be my last time there and will be sharing info on the property with friends and encouraging them to stay there.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration with friends and family and we couldn't have picked a better location. Everything we could possibly need was in the house, the hosts are exceptionally helpful and very friendly and the views across lake Windermere were amazing. We can't recommend this proeprty highly enough and we're already saving up to come back!

We had an excellent time in Cumbria , it was just a shame that the weather was so wet , however it did give us the opportunity to spend more time in this lovely house.
