About this cottage rental
Cottage Petros (151 m²) is one of the 3 secluded spacious self catering cottages in a private land of 8.000 m², just 150 meters from the quite Koloumbo beach (Cape Columbo).
The untouched Santorini a destination out of the beaten track, we offer an alternative way of vacation in Santorini with simplicity close to nature.
On the North side of Santorini very close of the cosmopolitan Oia and next to the Koloumpo undersea volcano is Siskos Place, a settlement combined of 3 secluded spacious cottages placed in absolute harmony with the environment. They stand in the silent beauty of Santorini's volcanic landscape, in 8.000 unspoiled private square meters of land.
The architecture is strictly Cycladic. All premises are exclusively made out of natural local materials and designed with traditional Cycladic bioclimatic principles so as to provide for coolness during summer without the need for artificial means.
The "SiskosPlace" was built in 2000 by Petros Siskos, a civil engineer, and his 2 sons Alexandros and Elias. The Place was for many years a relaxation destination for the family and friends. In 2015 Alexandros decided to settle in Santorini and open SiskosPlace to guests.
The furniture are collected through the years mainly from Santorini or made to order by local technicians. The decoration includes a variety of art pieces, ceramics, paintings, icons and book collections.
The cottage has a kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom and two paved courtyards sheltered by pergolas with marble tables, benches, garden chairs and Hammock. It shares a swimming pool and the sun loungers.
The fauna
The more patient visitor will have the chance to discover a place full of unique creatures. Rare migratory birds, falcons, partridges, owls, crows, dragonflies, hares, hedgehog and turtles.
The flora
Fig, prickly pear cactuses, olive, carob, palm, pomegranate trees dominate the landscape.
Rosemary, lavender, thyme, fennel, oregano, basil, mint, αρμπαρόριζα are some of the native herbs in the garden.
Staying in SiskosPlace's Alexandros cottage, makes you part of Santorini's natural environment, you enjoy the simple and genuine Santorini's life away from the hustle and bustle of this cosmopolitan island.
[Interaction with the guests]
Alexandros the owner is always around happy to assist you with all your requests.
Transfer from the port/airport can be arranged upon request with extra charge.
Mobile phones are given to the guests for contacting Alexandros any time 24/7 during their stay.
[Guest Access]
All guests share the swimming pool, can walk around the paths that lead to the private church, Agia Marina, of the property and the square. On July 17 we organise the annual open celebration of Agia Marina. We offer to all our guests and visitors local food and wine with the company of live traditional music.
Wedding, honeymoon, anniversary and birthday events, as well as retreats, seminars and workshops, can be organised upon request.

We do not expect anything less than the common sense. We would prefer you not to smoke indoors.
[The neighborhood]
Kolumbo Beach (Cape Columbo), for many the most beautiful beach of Santorini Island. It is a unique and still unspoiled sandy beach with pebbles, surrounded by cliffs and beautiful natural environment. It offers great views and relaxing moments since it is isolated, the beach is not organised and attracts nudism lovers. You can enjoy the stunning "Oia's sunset" right from Kolumbo Beach or SiskosPlace cottages without the hassle of the crowd.

We loved the place! The location was close to Oia, with the amazing sunset but with no one around. Alex was a really amazing host and friend to hang with, he was really generous with us and gave alot of great tips and cues even for other islands! We will remember Santorini for all the amazing views and food, and for Alex as well, we really had a great time, thanks again !

It was one of the enjoyable experience while renting through VRBO. Location is great, walking distance to the closest beach, short drive to Oia. If you want quite, country leaving vibe and 100% authentic Greece experience it is a place for you. Cottages are located so that you are not bothered by neighbors unless you want too and it perfect for large family gatherings when more then one unit is needed. Pool is big enough for morning laps and just leisure time.
But most and foremost the host of the property Alex is a true gem. Instantly he makes you feel at home and every encounter you have leaves you looking for more. We had great long late night conversations which added such needed authenticity to the experience

We had a fantastic fortnight at Sisko's middle cottage. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The pool is great as are the views and you don't need to go further than the patio to watch Santorini's famous sunset.
Alex is a super host with great recommendations for places to go and things to do. We will definitely go back!
