I would recommend this location for the views and value.

The location of this villa was exceptional. The view from our room was breathtaking and it was so easy to walk out our door and walk all around Oia to explore.

There were instances during our stay where we felt less like guests and more like a nuisance or annoyance. Some of our questions and requests weren’t addressed in a timely or friendly manner.

Very awful experience with the owner John!!!

We didnot stay on the property and sacrificed our already paid 3 days and 2 nights booking because of the very disgusting behaviour of the owner John the moment we arrived in Santorini. We asked this villa to arranged a taxi pickup for us from the port on our arrival which was agreed upon. On the day of our arrival to Santorini while we were still sailing on the ferry, the driver keeps on calling me inquiring our arrival time as the ferry was delayed. I kept on updating him but he seems to be unhinged already or pissed for the delay which is so obvious the way he talked on the phone which surprise me being a customer. When we arrived to the port after a 3 hrs delayed this driver had an argument with my friend regarding the placing of the bags/luggages which was actually a very small and avoidable scenario. But the driver suddenly blew-up and shouted at us in the parking lot and ordered us to get out of his vehicle and get another taxi. He shouted so loud that other people in the area heard and looked at us. This man just zoomed out of the parking area and left us there stunned. That moment I called the property/villa to complaint about the driver they sent for us, then behold the owner itself was the driver himself John. While talking on the phone with him he still sound rude and agressively without even thinking that we are his guest. What kind of a host is that. There and then we decided to not go to his villa and we booked with another place. Who in their right mind will stay with a host like that. Me and my friend were frequent travellers and been around the world but thats the worst experience we encounter from a host/hostess. Nevermind about the money we lost but can never tolerate a person with such behavior.

We loved location of this place, no cars driving around, sunny and beautiful view of Oia and magical sunsets, very close to small markets which offered fresh fruits and veggies, and everything we needed. Bakery and coffee just around the corner as well. Owner gave us good tips how to take public bus to Fira and we did amazing walk from Fira back to Oia.

Booking.com states that this property has parking, there is no mention of “parking which is Public Parking”, there is no mention of exact location of parking that was 700metres away, 10 minutes walking with your backpacks and luggage. After we paid no small amount of money for accommodation, only then we were informed about parking which isn’t next to property, and even though we asked about EXACT location of parking, there was no location provided. Property is on one way street so once you miss it, you need to drive around for next 15 minutes to get back to it 😅 150€ of deposit was also taken after check in, no biggie, yet it’s not mentioned anywhere. John, our host, told us we were meant to ask him first about renting a car and that way we could have parked right next to his house because he knows island, he knows that rental company etc.etc.but this is booking.com and no rental platform so there was definitely not enough and not exact information about Parking and situation around property for accomodating cars. Don’t expect to hang your towels around your room but at the back.

The terraces were great, Giannis was helpful, caring and had great suggestions. He can also make an awesome coffee/breakfast, so take him up on it!

The shower is small and things in the bathroom can get wet; however, it’s a Greek stone bathroom, so still kind of an experience. Don’t climb or stand on anything rooftop balcony related for pictures. It’s dangerous and the owner cares enough to be worried about you.

The location of the property is unbelievable . The view is spectacular from The terrace outside my room and also from the rooftop terrace. The studio was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed . John was such a great host, he assisted me with renting a car and gave me great advice on the area. I loved our chats and nothing was too much for him and he and his wife keep the property immaculate. I was sad to be leaving and will Definitely return and it is so nice to be looked after so well and have great customer service - John is more than a great host - he actually cares about his guests and that is something you will not get in larger properties. I left feeling like I had made new friends and know I will return as Maryloujohn villas is something very special and you have to stay here and experience it for yourselves.

Bad experience, you scared to ask anything to the staff because of the rude behaviour.

Property was in good location thats why i booked it. This was my first time visiting to greece and first impression was so bad. The staff was so rude , don’t know how to talk to guest who visited first time in the county and that day was so bad experience for me.

This is just okey hotel, it’s like a hotel kind of vibe. But with that amount of money, it’s not that bad.

Excellent location, great view from the shared terrace. John is a friendly helpful guy and can make a great coffee.

Whilst John is friendly and helpful, he seems to be the only person covering the reception. It seems he lives on the property and is regularly with family and friends. I felt uncomfortable having to ask for things as I felt I was interrupting his leisure time. Internet connection was temperamental from our room. The shower was also small with no door or cover so water often got everywhere in our bathroom.

Very good place to stay, confortable and well located.

The location was perfect. 10 min walk to the Oia bus terminal, so getting around the island was easy. Also, many restaurants and shops are close by as the Villa is on the main street of Oia. View from the hotel are great and the room was perfect with plenty of space. John was vey welcoming and available for everything and had great tips on where to eat and what to do.

Oia was delightful and the hotel was perfectly situated with great spaces to view the sunset.

The location was wonderful, easily accessible to everything yet quiet. The outdoor shared spaces were beautiful and made it easy to enjoy the lovely scenery.

The bedroom wasn't the most comfortable--the bed was squeaky and the tv didn't allow for connecting to Netflix.

good location to the rest of family. the staff, Moses was engaging g and delightful, extremely helpful and notice when only one pillow in room he immediately gave us another.

broken dresser, scratchy towels, very tight room. wanted an upgrade and willing to pay but had to pay full in other room too so that seemed a bit unreasonable. Understand the resins g that they could have booked that room however they had the larger room I booked so they could have made more by renting us the larger room. made no sense. The gentleman we dealt with was constantly interrupting me so I never could talk, a bit in the defensive and curt at times.
