Wouldn’t stay again

Beautiful grounds Really comfortable bed

I thought it was a hotel , but it was all self catering . No onsite bar, restaurant The need to book slots for hot tub and swimming pool. Their were no slots on arrival and one slot for 8:30am the next day The hot tub had lack of water that didn’t cover the jets so we got absolutely drenched har , face trying them . So we had a 30min slot sat in a hot tub with no bubbles £140 the night with no extras

Downstairs extractor fan went on way too long and was noisy in the bedroom above keeping me awake. The bedside lightbulb in the bedroom didn’t work. Left so early in the morning that we didn’t want to wake anyone but weren’t sure which keys you wanted to put in the box outside the reception on leaving. Form seem a bit excessive, didn’t want to sign up for marketing form and Covid protocol seems unnecessary now, surely people would not come if they had covid. I would have liked to have known what fascilities would have been available when booking so I could have brought swimming things and make the most of our stay

Beautiful property and beautiful views but some things let it down

The property and the views were beautiful, it was well equipped and clean. Towels and bedding were soft and clean too.

The bed was very wobbly when either of us turned over. We couldn’t get Wi-Fi. The tv signal kept dropping out. The water pressure in the bathroom was poor, I could hardly get any hot water out of the basin tap. The swimming pool was cold.

Great weekend away with friends

Great little resort, cottage was well equipped and clean. Facilities were great, it was fun trekking over to the hot tub in our dressing gowns. Cute little pool. I liked the fact you booked the pool and hot tub and had this as a private space. The grounds are beautiful to walk around.

Outstanding stay

Fabulous facilities and decor, whole place oozed character and charm. Grounds were amazing, lots of outdoor space which gave a very countrified feel regarding our stay. Already planning our next visit.

Only criticism was the very brief induction we had which meant we had to work out a few things for ourselves, but to be honest this was not a big deal.

Beautiful grounds and excellent facilities - would recommend!

The lady we finally got through to was very helpful. She gave clear instructions on how to get in and access the property. Directed us to the apartment and gave us lock box instructions to access our keys.

We arrived a little later than expected, after a very long journey in the rain. There was no staff on the grounds and there was no answer on the calls we made to the phone number provided. We had to search around in the rain to find another mobile number to call. We finally got a response after calling a few times. By which time we were quite wet and frustrated.

Dangerous shower needs immediate attention before there is a serious incident.

Very comfortable bed and apartment very clean. Very quiet and nice pool apart from issues mentioned in section below. Very helpful reception staff.

The electric shower in the bathroom was a serious problem. My 8 year old granddaughter was in danger of being scalded because the heating on the High setting was so hot. The flow on the medium setting was very slow. I think that this shower should be repaired or replaced immediately. It is very dangerous. Rails into the swimming pool were shaky and both showers were closed for maintenance. Wifi dodgy.

Very good value for money at £135 for family of 4

Lounge was very cosy with fire on and sofas very comfortable. Bed upstairs was super comfy

Property was very cold on arrival and had to leave heating in all night along with fire on while we were in. Could not find any plates or bowels until morning or departure as they were in dressing table in lounge and presumed they would be in kitchen.

Really pretty location and a lovely stay, with good facilities

Cottage (Swaledale) was very neat and well-appointed with handy touches like an air fryer in kitchen, a coffee pod machine, complimentary shampoo and shower gel, and spare towels. The beds were quite comfortable and it was very sympathetically decorated, but with modern touches included. We'd definitely stay again, it was so lovely. The use of facilities was fantastic, loved having the pool to ourselves through the booking system. Beautiful setting and grounds.

The outdoor hot tub could use an enclosed changing space to avoid dressing outdoors on the pavement, and perhaps a raised wooden mat so you aren't directly on the wet concrete as soon as you get out. The metal steps into the pool were wobbly and moved so for safety definitely keep those checked.

Cozy accommodation, great facilities

We stayed in one of the cottages, which was lovely, cozy and comfortable with a lovely view over the garden. The grounds are beautiful to walk around and we loved being able to book the pool, sauna and hot tub for our private use.

It was a real shame that on two of the three nights we were there the hot tub wasn't working. The hot tub was the main reason we booked Sutton Hall.

Pleasant stay, not enough towels for 5 guests, cleaning wasn’t brilliant!

Location was brilliant only 3 miles from the event we had been to and really close to the supermarkets and town.

The outdoor hot tub wasn’t very hot. Cleaning wasn’t great, found beer bottle top under coffee table and crumbs on it. Kitchen cooker top/ toaster etc wasn’t very clean. Also only left towels in twin room and kitchen, there was 5 people staying.

It was very relaxing and cultural.

The secure grounds felt very safe. The gardens were amazing and the gardener was passionate about his work and told us all about the different flowers. We picked apples from the tree. The sauna & swimming pool were very private. Outstanding place to stay. We will definitely stay there again.

Everything was perfect, but be prepared to take food as there is no local shops.

Absolutely stunning building and grounds, the apartment was immaculate. We had a member of staff that stayed over her time on shift to welcome us. The communication is above and beyond from the start of booking the apartment right through, I got emails, texts and a personal phone call when we were on our journey for the visit. I have been meaning to book Sutton Hall for years and finally did this weekend and could kick myself I didn’t do it sooner. We booked a night and I wished I’d booked the week. It’s so beautiful and the staff are incredible, can’t wait to book up again at Sutton Hall Thank you to all staff Seymour Girls Xxx

Stunning property with fantastic facilities

Very clear instructions on how to get in, including a video. It's a stunning property. The rooms are beautiful and well equipped. The garden and the pool are amazing. We were coming on from a spa day so we didn't use the sauna or hot tub but we're already planning a return visit to make full use of the facilities.

The front door to the building didn't fully close, it was stuck against the floor

Disappointing

Location

The accommodation requires some updating, it smelt musty and was extremely hot. The kitchen could only fit one person in it. To access the property it required you to go through multiple fire doors with your heavy case. There was only one fan and tte windows could only open about 10-15cm. I have RCI and noticed that the property had received Gold Awards. I am sure the accommodation with the RCI accommodation did not reflect the same decor.

Excellent location and great range of facilities

A lovely setting and the grounds are excellent. The cottage was well-equipped and the balcony leading to a grassed area was an added bonus. Staff were very helpful and we were provided with all the information we needed in the cottage.

The downstairs could have been a little cleaner and blackout curtains would’ve made our stay more comfortable.

Nice for one night stopover.

Beautiful building the apartment we stayed in was on the ground floor overlooking the beautiful garden. The pool was lovely

Didn’t like having to share a hot tub with loads of people. Had to book it out and then people would come and say it was their turn and we had to get out. Sauna was ok, it would be better if the apartments had their own hot tubs on the ground floor overlooking the gardens. I would pay extra to have our own hot tub. ( you could charge extra for a private hot tub if you wanted with the option to use the shared hot tub if you didn’t want to pay extra)Kitchen was very small.

Family 1 night stay.

Just loved the whole experience. Wished we were able to spend more time there. Got there around 7pm after a day of sightseeing and traveling. We didn't meet any staff, so at that point it was self checkin, which went fairly smoothly. Enjoyed evening swimming at the pool. And lovely walk around the gardens the next morning. Extended our time there to enjoy the facility. Much more than expected. Family wants to come back to spend more quality time.
