Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel

The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are charming and quaint. Several staff members were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the complimentary minibar, the delicious chocolates, and the thoughtful snacks given to our children for the drive. The cooked breakfast options were also enjoyable.

Overall, the hotel did not deliver the boutique luxury experience we expected for the price, and we likely stayed longer than we should have. Housekeeping was inconsistent, the beds and pillows were uncomfortable, and noise from neighbouring and upstairs rooms disrupted our sleep late into the evening and early in the morning. Breakfast was average, with the coffee machine out of service one day, and parking was limited and often inconvenient.

The overall area was gorgeous. Great views, lovely gardens the rooms were clean & top notch. Breakfast was really nice & freshly made to order, along with buffet cereal, fruit, cheeses etc. Complimentary mini bar with juice, fizzy, bikkies, nuts, chips & chocolate. What more could you want.

The breakfast was very nice, and the lovely girl serving us was very nice and accommodating - she was rushed off her feet though and seemed to be having to do everything

Unfortunately we were very disappointed, the accommodation is overpriced for what it is and not at all in keeping with the luxury accommodation portrayed. It looks from the photos that there are varying rooms and layouts, but the price is the same for all. Our room was small and dated with obvious signs of wear and tear, and all foot traffic going straight past our door and window from the carpark to reception (no chance to open the curtains for the view of the lake). There is no insulation and every sound could be heard from the adjoining room and outdoors. At over $600 for one night it was a complete rip off, and being a special birthday weekend away this was a real let down.
