Really nice location with unusual architecture, the hotel has been built sympathetically using the original Hillsborough Garrison as its base. The pub and restaurant are nice and the whole place has a great atmosphere. The beds are super comfy.
The whole place is in need of a little TLC, it’s a little rough around the edges and just needs a little spent on maintenance to get everything in shape. Was a little noisy due to a wedding function on the first night.

Breakfast was served in a lovely breakfast room that was bright and airy. Staff were pleasant and sociable. The room was sufficient for what I needed and the bed was comfortable.
There was no Restaurant or Bar available at this hotel through the week so you have to go out to get something to eat in the evening which is not always convenient.

Location is great. Parking was easy. Room was clean. Nice bedding and towels.
Sadly the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. When I am literally just looking for somewhere to sleep for the night a bad bed spoils it all.
