Nothing- it was wonderful

The hotel had a great location outside Kotor, pool on a raised level within the complex and then restaurant leading straight out onto the water. We loved having the jetty right there across the (normally) quiet road in front of the hotel. Hotel was small enough not to be busy but definitely busy enough to feel alive. Continental breakfast was simple but the fresh boreks were super, a delight, and the ordered food was lovely. Great to have beach / pool towels from reception whenever required and the restaurant food was good here too.

Took over 24 hours to get the aircon looked at - I reported it early on that I didn't think it was working, had someone in to look at it and not sure if it ever really worked. Room never felt cool in the 35 degree heat which was a pity given how nice the place was in general. Plus watch out for the steps - lots of steps but that's just Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor in general!

The Palazzo is the perfect stay if you are looking for excellent views, relaxing atmosphere and tasty food. We stayed for 10 nights and most days had the entire bay to ourselves for swimming - utter bliss.

There is nothing not to like about the property, it is a lovely, independent hotel ran by knowledgeable and welcoming staff who couldn’t have been nicer to us!

Location

The hotel website gives information about an amazing restaurant this didn’t exist. The menu was pasta and pizza. There was all free yoga classes on the website these did not exist. The water from the taps in the hotel is salty so you have salty showers no fresh water supplied for drinking or making coffee you have to pay for it. Dirty plates and dishes left on the terrance waiters walking past not clearing up. Free hire bikes were unsafe no brakes flat tyres and loose seats. We had to hire our own.
