We loved staying at the cozy Hazel Hut! The perfect getaway place to just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There’s everything you need and nothing more, which was perfect for us!Lisa is a very accommodating host and is super kind!

The location is a slice of tranquility. As soon as you start the drive up the lane to the property you just know it's will be special. Surroundings are superb. Lovely scones with butter jam and supply of milk and water to make teas and coffee. The hazel hut is spotless tastefully decorated and an ample supply of firewood to keep the place toasty warm as well as the alternative gas heating. Enclosed garden so the dogs could get out was a real bonus. Comfortable bed. If your thinking about this place just do it. Oh and bring your walking boots because the location is so delightfully remote feeling you will need them.
This wasn't really a problem for me but if you think about catering you have a 2 gas burner so bring food accordingly ie pasta and rice with sauce dishes there is no oven but that should never put you off just be prepared

Gorgeous, cosy little shepherd's hut, in beautiful scenery. Great wood burning stove, easy to light, and actually too warm when I kept it going too long! The shower was surprisingly good, and the bed was really comfortable, I slept very well each night.
I would have liked to be able to look around me as I walked to and from the car, but there were sheep and donkey droppings everywhere and I didn't fancy cleaning my hiking boots standing in the rain, or bringing dirt into the hut or the car. So I had to keep my eyes on the ground and pick my way very carefully.
I bought myself a little fold-up table, it was the only thing lacking in the hut's facilities. I wanted to do some writing, and the table was also more convenient for eating.

It was reasonably comfortable. We liked the remoteness of it. Scones and milk etc were great. Lisa was very helpful and allowed us a peep at the treehouse on their property which is also available, it was lovely and would be our choice if we return.
Access road is a very rocky farm lane followed by a short walk across a field, trying to avoid rushes, puddles and sheep sh;t. Hut was charming but wasn’t as clean as we expected, dirty fridge and utensils, completely stuffed vacuum cleaner and a few other items. Only 2 gas rings without grill or oven, even a toaster would be nice. Outside the access was via slippery wooden steps with no hand rail and enclosed grass area was just left as field but without any grazing. Unfortunately we had very wet weather during our stay, which worsened our experience and made trying to keep the hut clean, very difficult ( wet grass and sheep sh;t covered shoes)
