The Old Post Office

La posizione è fantastica. Di fronte all'appartamento c'è un comodo piccolo super market e ad appena 1km 2 pub/ristoranti ottimi. Ci sono 2 piccole spiagge raggiungibili a piedi e con la macchina, a poca distanza, si arriva a Clifden, Kylemore Abbey, Omey Island e il Killary Fiord.

Joli appartement bien équipé, mais vieillissant (peinture écaillée, prise électrique défectueuse qu'a changé le propriétaire à notre demande). Propriétaire serviable et réactif. Bonne position géographique pour explorer le Connemara.

Appartement un peu vieillissant, très humide et assez poussiéreux. Le forfait électricité à 20 € max pour l'entièreté du séjour a mis une pression pas très agréable. Nous avons dû nous limiter à une seule machine à laver le linge et deux lave-vaisselles sur toute la durée du séjour (une semaine), et deux douches max par jour pour une famille de quatre personnes. C'est vraiment peu. Même en étant très sobres, nous avons dépassé légèrement le plafond. À remonter légèrement donc pour que le séjour puisse être plus serein.

Lovely area, close to great beaches, lovely people and everything you need next door with a small but great hardware store and a well stocked Mace shop. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. Nicely quiet nights. John is a very helpful and friendly patron. Thanks!

Small downside the rear bedroom has no window and if the weather is bad it tends to get a bit damp inside - but that is Ireland for you really. The apartment and furniture have come into the years a bit, good value for money though. The road right in front of the house fortunately isn't busy.

The location, in the Galway countryside, was as one would have expected. Quiet village, but close to Clifden, other villages, and ideal for seeing stunning Co Galway and Co Mayo scenery. The host (who lived next door) dealt with queries promptly.

The apartment itself quite damp - which was a problem given the local climate. On arrival I was told of concerns re energy bills and that one would be expected to pay an additional fee if energy bill was excessive. Therefore avoided overusing the radiators, and did not receive any additional demands. There was no outdoor area attached to the apartment, so unable to organise any BBQs.
