    Hotel location was ideally situated along the Jonker Walk vicinity. The only downside is the limited parking space available. Room was clean and spacious. The only downside about this pretty new hotel was its poor noise insulation. U can basically hear every guest conversation or heavy walking along the corridor from inside yr room. Its an overall pleasant stay at this hotel. Friendly and smiley staff had been welcoming.

    Breakfast spread should cover more vegetarian or vegan options. Food should be replenished on time. Many empty trays at 9 ish and no staff support around

    Unfortunately, our stay at Baba House Hotel was quite disappointing. The biggest issue was the noise. Our room was facing the main road, and we could hardly sleep throughout the night. We could hear people chatting, vehicles passing by, and general noise from outside. There was practically no “silent night.” The windows are clearly not soundproof, and even though earplugs were provided, they did very little to help. If you are a light sleeper, I would strongly recommend requesting a room away from the road. The breakfast was another major disappointment. The selection was very simple, which is fine, but even something as basic as bubur kacang merah was not enjoyable. The food quality and taste really need improvement. What was even more shocking was the condition of the plates. Almost every plate I picked up had visible stains. This was not just one or two plates — it seemed like many of them were not properly cleaned. This is really unacceptable for a hotel and raises serious concerns about hygiene and cleanliness. I understand that the hotel’s beautiful Peranakan-style interior is one of its main attractions, and it certainly looks charming and photogenic. However, beautiful decor alone is not enough to create a good hotel experience. I hope the management will take these comments seriously and put more effort into soundproofing, breakfast quality, and especially cleanliness and hygiene of the dining utensils. The hotel has a lot of potential, but there are several areas that need attention if it wants to provide a comfortable and worthwhile stay.
