It could have been so much nicer.

A nice apartment in a reasonable area

No live tv at all. The only tv was streaming and then only if you had your own accounts. No up to the minute news, no regular tv programs. Elderly people less technology savvy would be stumped to get to see anything. Position of tv and seating meant only 2 people could watch screen head on . Low back settee meant no support for neck and head, furniture extremely heavy and immovable to attain comfort. No curtains on window in room meant screen reflected on window at night, very distracting. Floor had not been cleaned properly and was sticky in patches, rack in grill pan was filthy and coated in burned on grease and fat. No tea towels or hand towels supplied , no oven gloves or even a handle for the grill pan. The inclusion of a toaster would have been a nice touch.. Lack of mirrors for ladies to do hair and make up, bedside lamp not included in both bedrooms . Total of four pillows for two double beds, two so soft basically unusable and two like sacks of wood. Drain plug in kitchen sink missing the rubber seal so water just drained away. No information pack on how to use tv and heating. Not informed of numerous stairs to get access to the apartment after using the lift whether alighting at second floor or third floor. A lovely apartment that could have been so much better with a little thought and a few little upgrades.

On the positive side, the location is very convenient: it’s close to the train station and right above a supermarket. The check-in process was easy, and the hosts were flexible with the schedule, which made things much smoother.

The apartment was very disappointing. There were no chairs at all, no detergent for the washing machine, no salt, and no oil provided. The carpet was dirty and had a bad smell. Overall, the place felt neglected and uncomfortable.

Not one chair in the entire place to sit and eat. No table to sit at to eat. Shower is useless and very small. Coulnt wash my legs because the shower is so small. the floor in the kitchen is rotten and the whole place smells awful. couch is old broken and worn out and uncomfortable

- silence - supermarket on the ground floor - well equipped - cleanliness - comfy beds - close to the train and bus station - good value overall

- stench in the whole staircase - water in the shower was impossible to adjust, either too cold or too hot - shower cabin is too small, also one door is missing - furniture is a bit worn out

The sink was leaking, the shower was blocked, the smell of the kitchen was stinky, the mattress were uncomfortable and not extra duvet.

That it was on the top floor. It used to be a cute apartment and it is shows wear and tear, but still felt comfortable. It is located over a grocery store, so super convenient. It has a spacious living room /kitchen. Working Internet and TV . It is close to bus line and walkable to the beaches in about 15-20 minutes. Washing machine and dryer worked great. Microwave was new.

The pans were completely trashed and unusable. No dish towel provided and used/ dirty kitchen sponges. I asked the owner to replace them but they didn’t want to. The apartment had seen better days and there is a lot of wear. The location is near a busy road and there is traffic noise. There was garbage piled up in front of the apartment building ( not their fault) and it did get cleaned up after a couple of days.

It was an ok stay

Good location, clean property

Sofas and beds were not good; Sofas especially are almost worn out; beds weren't comfortable; first 2 days didnt realize the windows werent fully closed and were disturbed with traffic noise throughout the night. Bathroom wasnt comfortable, too small bath area and not so comfy.

Other than the few niggles as stated it was a lovely stay with everything just a short walk away.

Short walk to beach, shops and restaurants. Bonus of being above a co op. Very quiet considering it is a block of flats.

No wardrobes in any of the bedrooms. Sofas are tired and a little uncomfortable. Needs a spruce up. Shower not powerful enough if you have long hair.

perfect flat in bournemouth town centre

lovely spacious and clean flat, perfect if you're planning on going to bournemouth centre! i came down with 2 friends and we only stayed the one night but planning on booking again soon. it's right next to the co op so we could get everything we needed! beds were super comfortable too.

Avoid

The location was good.

When we arrived the bedsheets were dirty/stained and there was hair in the bed. We contacted the host who said the bedding had all been changed but we disagreed. She did return to change the bedding but it should of been cleaned properly in the first place.

We definitely would recommend for short stays to visit all that Bournemouth has to offer.

Cosy, warm, good location. Great communication with the hosts. All questions answered promptly. Tricky to find, update the location to behind the Co-Op and there’ll be no problems!! Near to shops, takeaways and restaurants, and short walk into town.

The food left in the cupboards was a surprise but understandable, the pan full of oil in the oven not so much.

Property not cleaned. Close to beach as described

The property was spacious as described and close to the beach to be able to walk down an access all the local facilities

We bumped into the owner of the property when we arrived who told us give her 15 minutes to change the bedding over and then we can get in. We said no you can have longer than 15 minutes because you need to clean the property before we enter it. Obviously, a fast port of coal once we did gain access to the property three hours later was to see how clean it was. It wasn’t very clean. There was his left all over the bathroom there were stains on the kitchen, work surfaces and in the fridge. So she obviously just change the bedding over I know cleaning was done which in the current climate with Covid still around was no it’s acceptable. We had to go and buy our own cleaning products and clean the property. The curtains in both bedrooms, but not fit for purpose. They definitely did not fit the windows. There was at least a 4 inch gap from the bottom of the curtain to the windowsill in one bedroom. In the second bedroom, there was a gap of an inch between the bottom of the curtain and the windowsill , and they wouldn’t even fit lengthwise so the sun was coming through the sides of both curtains all you know not very impressed with the owners of the property for the mount of money we paid and to have a new cleans not acceptable

I was so disappointed and wouldn’t recommend.

Location- it was close to the beach.

The flat smelled of stale smoke and cooking fat which lingered on our clothes after we got home. The oven was unusable (it’s needed a really good clean!). I had the clean the sinks and cupboards on arrival. There was mouldy food in the cupboards. Massively over priced.

Overall everything was fine.

There were not enough mugs & they were not cleaned properly. Less utensils ,since it was apartment we expected more. Toiletries were insufficient. Sofas were old & tattered.

The bed is OK. The flat would suit a business person needing a flat to shower & sleep.

The fire alarm in the kitchenette area was covered and in case of a fire we would not be alerted. Very concerned as it is a block.of flats with NO external fire escape Lounge furniture was old and coffee table tatty and needs replacing.

Decent size two bedroom top floor flat in a good location. Benefits from a Coop convenience store downstairs. Lovely walk to the beach and not far to town too. Friendly host, who took on suggestions for improvement Would be happy to recommend for anyone looking for a simple clean place to stay in Bournmouth for a long weekend or working week

Needed a few more bits and pieces of kitchen equipment but the host is looking at getting them. Street parking a bit hit and miss, but usually found a space nearby
