A generously sized apartment with air con and a modern bathroom. Complimentary water. Good eating places nearby. Okay for a short stay.
It was a little difficult to find, down a side street, but it worked out. Unfortunately, the complimentary tea was loose tea without filters or a tea pot. Worse still, the sugar jar was crawling with ants! And there was no toilet roll.

Cottage 23 was a super cute place to stay! The owner who lives opposite the accommodation was incredibly friendly, helpful and hospitable. Also very knowledgeable of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 and all the great places to visit. The accommodation was large! Very clean and had hot water for showering! The beds do not have a top cover, if you prefer a sheet over you perhaps request one upon booking, I am sure they will accommodate your request. A must stay when visiting.

We used Cottage 23 just for one night for a stopover on our way to Sigariya...It does have stairs up to it but the appartment was plenty large enough and we loved the kitchen facility to it .There are shops and places to eat nearby and collect groceries.Owners were super pleasant and genuine.Parking was also available and because it was a little bit away from main road was quiet...
