Very dodgy - do not touch this place!

On arrival as planned at around 7pm at the property, we opened the keysafe and found there were no keys inside. Phoned the out of hours contact, who said they'd look into this and call us right back. We were called back and instructed how to open the other keysafe and retrieved another set of keys. Began to let ourselves in, and the apartment we'd booked was being lived in by somebody else! They told us we were likely in the other apartment, upstairs; so we opened that door but it was clearly not liveable in, nor ready to let out. We said to the contact person on the phone that we'd leave to go and get some food - by this time it was nearly 8pm, and they were apologetic and asked me to share my bank details with them via text, so that they could refund me. This started to make me suspect that the whole thing was a scam. We decided at that stage to find somewhere else to stay as it was dark, and we were cold, wet and hungry. I was called back later in the evening by someone who claimed they were from Booking.com, but were calling from a number that was registered with a different organisation, and was again asked for my bank details. All very dodgy, and the kind of experience that has completely put me off booking privately owned facilities through Booking.com. Luckily, we found a hotel with vacancies nearby, and I am hoping for a refund of both the original booked stay and the additional costs incurred, although I haven't received these yet.

Not worth the hassle

It was a flat as advertised. Facilities fine. Clean.

They sent no information before the booking but called me incessantly at one point on the day when I was driving (in the end I had to pick up while it was dangerous). No information on where to park and they couldn't instruct me on where to park when I called them. I had to drive around the houses finding parking, while they insisted I'd find it if I followed the postcode. Turns out there WAS NO parking at the house! Then I couldn't get into the house and had to pester them for info how to get in. Then I was stuck in the corridor, couldn't get into the flat and they hung up. Turns out they told me the wrong flat number! They said they'd send a booklet of info, including where I'm meant to park, but they took ages to send it, and it was a broken link. Then they sent an email saying they were signing off for holidays and not to contact. The flat is a really odd shape (long and narrow like a corridor). The bedroom and bathroom are opposite sides of the flat.

They were also impressed with the bath and the water pressure in the shower. The conveniently located Tesco Express was very handy as well.

Excellent flat, good value for money

It was spacious, very clean and close to the train station with tesco just across the road. The flat was well furnished and it was easy to access.

Nothing really. They could do to provide a sieve as there's a colander but that doesn't really work for small grains etc but that's being really picky

Felt like a student rental - piles of takeaway leaflets in the hall. Bathroom was not up to the standard of the rest of the accommodation

Nice place for a break

Like home from home, lots of equipment like TVs and kitchen utensils etc to be able to do everything we needed to during our stay. We had a slight issue in the bathroom when we arrived but contacted the agent and they came the next day to repair it without any issues. Nice company to deal with and great communication.

Modern decor, all the things you need for a pleasant stay, good location.

Car parking is difficult, grounds, gardens and entry way in desperate need of a clean up. A clothes airer or washing line would be good. Door locks that you don’t have to use the keys all the time.

A great place to stay and spread out.

The property was a full flat with kitchen, washing machine, sitting and dining room. It was perfect place to finish 7 weeks away. We could wash everything and spread out to replace.

Parking is iffy. The parking in the street opposite is by permit.

Cricket trip

Nice ground floor apartment which is well decorated and nicely furnished. Good facilities and pleasant outdoor area. Comfortable bed and sofa bed too. Located near the railway station and with a shop across the road. Communication prior to check in was also very good.

Fantastic apartment, very clean. Value for money was exceptional. Spacious. Well stocked kitchen utensils. TV in all rooms. Had all lovely finishing touches. We loved our stay and would stay again when we are next in Taunton. Parking available on the road.

The bedroom is at the front, it's a noisy road in the morning, but you can't move a property, so wouldn't mark it down for that.

Het was fijn om eigen verblijf te hebben met keuken en buitenruimte.

Fijn dat er buitenruimte was. Ruimte was voldoende voor twee. Voor gezin met kinderen lastiger denk ik vermits slaapkamer vooraan ligt en wc achteraan. Je moet via woonkamer (waar extra nogal hard sofabed staat) naar badkamer.

1)Parking was zo goed als onmogelijk in de buurt vermits je bewonersvergunning diende te hebben. Bij beschrijving accommodatie stond dat er voldoende parking in de buurt was. Dat klopt dus niet. 2) geen vaatwasser alhoewel dat in beschrijving accommodatie stond
