Lindian Palms

Our villa in Lindian Palms was everything we were hoping for. The villa is easy to find just off the main road from Lardos and well situated to travel to the various local towns, beaches and restaurants. We were lucky enough to be able to travel just after the recent issues with the wildfires and kept in regular contact with our hosts through Booking.com who gave us the latest status and reassured us about the impact to the villa. Despite the damage to the surroundings which were close-by there was no issue with the villa, only some regular sweeping of the outside patio needed due to ash blown from the winds and seeing many goats around looking for food (make sure you close the gate on the driveway to prevent them enjoying the nice gardens!). We were met by Ourania for the key handover and to show us round the villa who was available on Whats App for any queries. We initially had some issues with ants and flies but Ourania quickly organised for someone to drop some ant traps/spray and fly swats so the problem was quickly resolved. The villa is exactly as shown in the photos for the property. Modern, clean and comfortable we were very pleased on arrival. The villa is well furnished and has all the appliances you would need (kettle, toaster, iron, coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine etc). All rooms are air-conditioned and controlled in each room and very effective. The pool area is excellent with plenty of seating/beds and the pool is 1.5m throughout which meant it was perfect for all my family. There is a mini-market just two doors away making it easy to get some essential bits (like a lilo!). The villa is perfect location to travel to Lardos, Pefkos, Kiotari and the beautiful Lindos.

The WiFi upstairs is not connecting so for children who like to be online it meant we needed to use more data than expected, would be good if the router could be upgraded or moved to extend the coverage.

to explore you really need a car, we had one and would have found as a family of 6 difficult to get around and get provisions, there is a mini market next door to the property but it is expensive, buses are frequent but stop around 10pm ish making a night out a bit of a problem

We loved the area, bearing in mind that we had a rental car and that we mainly visited Rhodes for Lindos not Rhodes Town. Lindos was less than 15 minutes away and we fell in love with Glystra Beach which was only a 2 minute walk down the road. The outside area is beautiful, the pool & the dining table area is where we spent most of our time, especially at night the ambient lighting was so romantic, even if sitting inside watching Netflix curled up on the couch with the sliding door open. Also the kitchen was a godsend for us with small kids, it had everything you could possible need utensil wise, including some essential condiments and most importantly it was spotless clean.

It really isn’t a massive issue and this is expected in a hot country like Rhodes but I just really wished the pool was heated as the weather wasn’t the best when we were there and it would have been great to still get in but it was too cold. Also for the price I wish it was a little bit cleaner that what it was, it wasn’t the worst by any means, just for the price I had extremely high expectations. The worst part was the service and the Internet in the house was horrendous but that’s not really the property’s fault that’s just the area it was in I suppose.
