The main road was having road works, not the properties fault but just something to be aware of when booking

The peaceful setting and friendly staff. The breakfasts and dinners all week were absolutely delicious. Good internet and smart TV allowed me to use my streaming services. Easy to communicate with Helga.

I highly recommend staying at Helga's, it was one of our favourite stays of the whole trip. The accommodation is beautiful, hosts are incredibly hospitable, helpful and friendly, the food is delicious and they even have their own bit to access the beach at the lake. The room looked freshly built with a really good eye for detail and the beds were comfy. The room also had a fridge and a nice new bathroom. The garden had lots nooks to relax in and the restaurant was cosy. We had both dinner and breakfast there - both were excellent. It was the first time we'd tried watermelon jam (one of the options that comes with breakfast).
Not a negative, nothing to do with the accommodation but a funny heads up - you might be in a "traffic jam" when driving to the location, there was a car coming down the narrow street whilst we were driving up but luckily there was also a cow walking up so 2 > 1 so we didn't need to reverse too much.
