Large open space. Open plan living/dining room (smart TV, A/C, wood burning stove) with doors to poolside terrace. Kitchen (microwave, dishwasher). Double bedroom with en suite shower room (washing machine), dressing area and doors to both the front and rear terraces.
Outside: Barbecue. Open and covered terraces. Mature, lawned grounds. Private parking.

The singular touches of its artist owner are much in evidence at Ca Na Catalina, a very distinctive and individual residence tucked away in a peaceful country location yet at the same time only 2.6km from the rich history, atmosphere and wonderful facilities of Pollença town. This eye-catching property is a perfect holiday base for two people who will find a fine selection of first class facilities to enjoy, both inside and out, together with a vast amount of space in which to relax (much more space than might normally be associated with a house of this capacity).
Predominantly open plan in design, the living accommodation flows easily across one level. Plump sofas and a good size dining table adorn the sitting/dining room which is distinguished by various characterful features and subtle decorative touches.
Large sliding doors allow an abundance of natural light to flood in, a wood-burning stove sits to one side and a substantial indoor barbecue grill nearby - somewhat idiosyncratically used by Catalina's daughter, the property owner, as a display area for family memorabilia! The walls and surfaces around the room host several examples of original pictures by the celebrated painter Juan Beltran Bofill and two carefully positioned air conditioning units provide the option to vary the temperature of the house interior as you require.
Along one edge of the sitting room sliding louvre doors designate the bedroom area which, as you would expect, is comfortably appointed and features an en suite shower room with dressing area from where doors lead out on either side to both the front and rear terraces.
The private pool is also much larger than average and bordered by an equally impressive sun terrace as well as an attractive lawned garden of mature Mediterranean shrubbery. Unusually for a smaller house and a very welcome addition to the facilities, the option of a private, all-weather tennis court offers a temptingly sporting diversion.
Golf, sandy beaches, cycle routes, walking trails, wine-tasting and bird watching are just a few of the activities that can be enjoyed in the surrounding area.
The vibrant, culturally rich town of Pollença is home to a weekly market, a good choice of boutiques and shops (the nearest supermarket is only 2km away), as well as a range of respected restaurants offering a wide cross-section of local and international cuisine.

From the moment we were welcomed by Antònia we knew we had found somewhere very special with a very special host. The villa is a haven for 2 with every amenity and many thoughtful touches from Antònia to greet you - water to refresh in the fridge, a bottle of local wine to enjoy with dinner, even a glove with the bbq to save accidental burns ! Everything is spotless and to the highest standard. The grounds to the villa are extensive and immaculate. The crystal clear pool is wonderful for a relaxing dip or a more strenuous swim, while playing tennis ( equipment provided if you need it ) in the cool of the evening meant we could justify sitting with a glass or 2 of cava watching the sun setting behind the mountains. The ideal romantic setting for our 50th wedding anniversary! It was an unexpected bonus to learn that we were staying in the grounds of the estate purchased by Antònia’s father, the renowned modern Spanish artist Joan Beltran Bofill and to discover his beautiful work, some examples of which are hanging in the villa . A real treat. Although the villa is well situated for trips to the coast, the mountains , Pollensa Town and even Palma we could not bring ourselves to stray far from our retreat with little to disturb the peace other than birdsong. Antònia is a warm, attentive and discreet host who responds immediately to any queries and is focussed on making sure that her guests have a restful and relaxing stay. Thank you Antònia. We can’t wait to come back next year.

My wife and I spent 12 nights at Ca Na Catalina and from the first moment until the last moment it was exceptional.
Antonia is a gracious and helpful host. There was never the slightest hint of a problem with the property. The grounds were much larger than expected and lovely to walk through in the mornings and evenings, with views of the small mountains in the background no matter what direction our eyes pointed.
The home, built around the original bbq area of the estate, was perfect size for two and had a very open layout with wrap around glass windows and sliding glass doors that made the house feel quite large. The decor was simple and tasteful with lovely pieces of artwork.
Just beyond the sliding doors, three steps to be exact, was a very large and unique pool with smooth mosaic tiles as it’s surface. The changes in depth from shallow to areas with more depth were designed like no other I had experienced.
As a tennis player, the addition of a nicely kept tennis court was special and unusual.
The house lies almost equidistant between the Old Town and the Port on a pretty country road not far off the M-2200 road. It was slightly closer to Pollensa. We elected to rent Electric Bikes after a few days of walking.
Overall I can’t imagine having a much better experience. We will return.
(Oh. And if you go, please buy apples to feed the cute miniature horse just across the street! He is spoiled!! Haha)

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful little house. Set in pretty gardens and grounds, the house was really well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. We loved the open plan layout of the living, dining and sleeping area, and the full glazed front and side gave maximum views of the pool, terrance and gardens from every angle. Although we didn't use it, the tennis court was also available and there were rackets and balls provided. The outside seating and lounging areas were really comfortable, with options to eat and cook outside with both the built in barbecue as well as a portable option if we wanted it. The kitchen has most things, but perhaps slightly limited should you want to do more cooking - not a problem for us as we always intended to eat out most of the time! We were there during one of the most severe storms the island had seen in decades, and although it was quite the experience, knowing our host was keeping in contact with us and checking we were all okay, was really nice. Would definitely stay again!
