Relaxing getaway,just what we needed.

We loved everything about our stay! Comfortable bed,next to a babbling stream, an amazing hot tub to soak in and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The little extras that were provided were fab,such as milk,homemade marmalade(which was delicious!) and fantastic local cider. We can't wait to come back!

Great location, great place great hosts.

Location for me was perfect was great to be able to have my dog off the lead and walk up the hill on the doorstep loved the remoteness but the fact you could walk to the pub. The welcome pack was lovely and we even had the northern lights the 1st night, inside very clean and nice furnishings and the log burner was a beauty we didn't use the hot tub but it would be great in summer.

Everything was great only suggestions for improvement would be to change the 3 small sunlight windows from the corrugated plastic to either double glazed windows or cover up as must lose a lot of heat through them. And I agree with other reviews ref check in-out times in at 16:00 is a bit late it feels like you have lost a day so a check in around 13:00 would be more friendly and you could make more of your 1st day then otherwise you end up hanging round waiting for 4pm I always think if i pay for 2 days then i should have 48 hours not 42. Not negative in any way place and hosts are amazing and highly recommend a visit.

Amazing stay at the Faraway Follies. The Owl lodge we stayed in was spotlessly clean. I mean spotless ! Jenny and Margaret the hosts must be taking great effort in presenting the lodge the way it looks. Me and my wife had a lovely break at the Owl lodge. Its spacious, the wood fire log burner is cool. We never operated one before, but it was easy to figure out. The instructions were all to the point. We did not have to contact the hosts for anything. We met Jenny on the way out and was nice to meet her. Highly recommend Faraway follies. Will be looking to book again.

Nothing really. Everything was great. Just couple of suggestions would be- -Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. It would be better if the checkout is 11am, it was a bit of a rush in the morning especially when staying for only a night. -Hot tub is wood fired - so to have the water ready and hot to use upon arrival is a chargeable extra. I recommend paying this as it took us a long time to get it heated almost 6 hours as our visit was during December and the water was supremely cold. May be the hot tub heated and ready on arrival could be offered for no charge during the winter months at this price point per night. -The post code will take you to a different location all together, contact the host for the exact location prior. They do mention this on the booking confirmation.

What a find... felt like I was meant to be here. Tranquil and peaceful - a rest amongst nature

Outstanding and unique piece of heaven.

The attention to detail was outstanding and made us - the guests - feel special as well as making the Owl Lodge feel special. Margaret and Jenny were lovely and welcoming hosts that made us feel comfortable and safe. There were detailed, yet clear instructions on everything you would need to know. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The whole experience was unique and magical.

I would not say these were necessarily dislikes because everything was outstanding and we will return but just two things weren’t perfect which was the lack of hand-held shower head and the cleanliness of the sofa. The waterfall style shower is beautiful but it’s difficult to rinse those hard to reach places. And the sofa had a few stains and marks on it so it could do with a shampoo.

Luxury relaxing stay

The cabin had everything that you would need. The bonus was feeling one with nature with a luxury twist. The hot tub and log burner added to this feeling. We also experienced the sauna and natural pool.

It was bigger inside than it looked. Well equipped, warm, cosy and bed was comfortable. Lovely area in the middle of no where to relax. The best part was the hot tub and log burner.

Lovely peaceful location set in glorious countryside. Very well looked after but wasn't over done still authentically natural. Hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful. Great nights sleep helped by a glorious dip in the hot tub!

Warm and welcome stay

Loved the hottube and fireplace. The lodge is very cosy and warmly decorated. The dog Daisy welcomes you in the morning and is so great with kids. The location is great for the walk and further travel into Wales.

Perfect 2 night Country Break in LLandegla

Excellent. Great 2 night visit. Loved it. Very peaceful and beautiful scenery in the immediate area. Hot tub was so relaxing (once the fire had heated it up thoroughly - this is spring water fed, so will take a while to heat up - don't expect to hop in 10 mins after lighting logs!) Perfect for birdwatchers. We were out in main during the day making the most of the area, Was nice to chill in the evening without distraction of tv. Wifi router had been recently damaged in a storm, so really was a tech free break. Fully equipped facility with lovely hosts. Slightly reluctant to promote as could end up booked up full and would not be able to return! lol Thank You very much to Mags and Jenny - your place is fab!

Tiniest thing but not really an issue: Lovely mature trees next to lodge mean branches/leaves in full as it's Summer at the min block fair bit of the view. I kind of suggested a little 'haircut' would open up a window for view of the sunset from the hot tub and the gorgeous countryside which can be seen from the lounge. and deck - views to die for. I would think 4pm check in with 10am check out might be a tad short slot to take if only staying 1 night..... though may be able to make arrangements with hosts and pay extra for an earlier check in if there is capacity.

We struggled with the shower and wasted a lot of water trying to regulate the water temperature which was either too hot or too cold. There was only a microwave oven at the property so we had to utilise the BBQ as an oven.

This is just a crazy location. So you see the pics and think to yourself... Yeah this is cute... And then you arrive and it's like next level of cute that you didn't know existed. It's remote, quiet, dark, cozy, comfortable, equipped, slow, clean. A total opposite of a stay somewhere in benidorm. I can't recommend this any more than you need to try it to believe it. We both feel amazing after starting there. Love + light and champagne

Dog friendly, stunning location, fantastic lodge with the most lovely owners. Great walks from the door step and the hot tub is simply superb! Lovely welcome gifts and easy communication throughout. A great place to stay.
